Why is gen z obsessed with religion but won't go to church? Is it because they have the internet which is like an infinite library of knowledge where you can access literal PhD level topics in theology and philosophy?

Because they realise that the miracle of existence and the mysteries of the human condition cannot be answered by our incredibly secular, hyper nominalist culture that believes in strict materialism. They are aching for the spiritual in a world derived of it. Therapy and “mindfulness” do nothing, they’re fake substitutes for an actual connection to the transcendent.
Many of them do go to church. They are often decried as “larpers” by those that hate religion. It seems whatever you do people will mock you.

>We can't know who will end up in Hell or who isn't.
The KJV is clear that anybody who rejects Jesus Christ is going to burn in hell forever and ever and ever. The KJV Bible explicitly teaches
>In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
So according to the KJV, the KJV is God, it is the same as Jesus, and therefore rejecting the KJV=rejecting Jesus=rejecting God=going to hell.

>Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
You continue to assure me of my salvation. Enjoy hell.

Gen Z is extremely anti social. They grew up watching people play pretend on TV who are unaware of their existence and never look them in the eyes so they got so used to it that being around people who look them in the eyes and try to interact with them freaks them out and makes them uncomfortable.

Every generation recognizes the mistakes of the previous one. Millenials recognized that boomer religiosity is mostly performative and content-less so they embraced complete materialism. Gen Zs recognized Millenials threw out the baby with the bathwater and are trying to restore the human perspective, which, besides paying attention to physics around you, also includes what we'd call spirituality.

I unironically feel social anxiety in the church. It's getting better, but it has always been like this, since I was little kid. Also in the churches where I live they like loud music and it's annoying, most of the mass before the homily is about loud instruments being blasted on speakers with poor acoustics. In the past I also used to dislike the get up, sit down, get up, sit down, get up, sit down but today I don't mind that anymore. The loudness problem seems to have been getting worse because they are now catering to the converted former Evangelical public.

Jesus is the word of God itself so when God speaks it is Jesus speaking. Jesus has spoken every thing God has said. So when God said eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth it was Jesus who said it.
But then Jesus when he quotes the word of god says "remember it was said, eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth"
Instead of saying "Remember when I said" or "when I spoke"
He calls it the law of Moses instead of his law and he doesn't refer to Moses as his servants.

They are larpers though. Currently people are less religious than 40 years ago, or even 20 years ago. Tradcath larpers just use twitter as an echo chamber and present an illusion about a religious revival.

To the extent that Gen Z is more church- or mosque-going, it has to do with them being browner than Millennials, plus raw contrarianism to being raised by secular parents and schools

Pablito Hernandez and Mahmoud al-Mahmoud being religious is par for the course, as low IQ browns tend to be very superstitious. Im talking about actual people, amongst white zoomers there is no religious revival.

>Why is gen z obsessed with religion
I'm so-called Gen Z (if we consider that "Gen Z" is 1997-2012) and I don't obsessed with religion. Maybe because I'm not shithead amerimutt. Also all that Gen-ish shit has no connection to reality.

Because they just half ass their development into religion and they look like a pop star thanking God for the success thank thanking God for creating the rules that govern life.
>It seems whatever you do people will mock you.
Religion was always mocked by non religious people whose temper towards different life's attitudes is as big as a mountain than a mustard seed.

Early Zoomer here. Yesterday I went to church, and then I realized something.
I don't actually believe in any of this stuff. I don't believe in the Holy Trinity or Transsubstatiation, or the Immaculate Conception of Virgin Mary.
I go to church every Sunday, but I don't believe in any of this stuff. Sure, maybe there is something beyond the universe that is the ultimate cause of everything in the universe, but to go from there to talking about divine miracles just seems like too big of a logical leap for me.
