I think he does a really good job at being a textual critic, not so much as a higher critic. He has made some interesting insights as a higher critic but I also think he tends to oversimplify things. I also hate when he tries apply higher criticism to the Old Testament as a New Testament scholar lol. Like he certainly knows the New Testament in and out, but he definitely is not as familiar with Old Testament scholarship even though he tries to act like he is. He admitted he can only read Hebrew with the help of a dictionary lol. Certainly not a Hebrew Bible scholar, that's for sure. I do trust his Greek skills, Coptic skills, and yeah his Aramaic skills, though.
