You have to be making a statement in such a way that is is completely unambiguous that you are making a factual claim and not rhetorical hyperbole. In the case of "Katy Perry is a rapist" that is completely impossible, unless you can somehow dive into a person brain and read their state of mind. So no, unless you say something like "Katy Perry is factually guilty of committing rape" you have not defamed or libeled her, and you WILL lose in court if you try due to the First Amendment.
