If you'd like to vote on entries and decide the fate of contestants

You'll need to do the following
> Required drawings featuring your character reacting to your favorite entry of the round, must include the featured crabs of that round in the drawing itself.
>Reviews of every match in the round. Could be a few sentences but should demonstrate you --read/engaged with the entry and be made in good faith.

extra caveats
>No luck-based vote casting, such as spinning a wheel or flipping a coin to choose. This will invalidate the ballot.
>Only one abstaining vote allowed per-ballot. If multiple abstains are placed then this will invalidate the ballot.
>Votes must be submitted in an official turn-in point, be it the 4chan thread

As a spectator if your character catches one of the contender's eyes you may have them show up in the background of one of the entries depending on how active you are perhaps even a side story or storyline could be in the works.

The choice is yours

Additionally if you do want to be a contestant but miss the May 17th date you can join as a waitlist spot (a bencher) to substitute for contestants who drop or go radio silent for the tournament. This happens every year so bench characters are vital for keeping teams viable during the tourney run.

Waitlisted participants won't be sitting on their hands during the tourney, they get their own prompts to do per-round that they get 1-3 points for finishing that go to their medal totals for when they replace a dropped contestant. Replacing a dropped contestant doesn't change a waitlisted contestant's prompt so you don't have to worry about changing anything you were working on (unless you want to).

Anybody have recommendations for Dealing with The Grind™ of making art? The deadline is soon and I'm like 80% done with this project. the last 20% is killing me to even look at!! I don't want to work on this but I'm SO close to finishing this on time I know I can make it if I put the effort into finishing it. How do you put up with it? What makes it easier to manage?

Its a struggle for sure, you just gotta do it.

For me I just gotta limit distractions, if I have youtube on I aint drawing to my max, just music with no words helps me.

I've been building a habit to draw or do something creative everyday, no matter how big or small and for my bigger projects I just do something small in it liek text or speech bubbles and if your in the right mind set you're likely to keep going.

BUT all this advice really boils down to you just gotta do it, randos on the net aint gonna do that for ya.
