How do I get out of the slump of wanting to draw in a realistic style and wanting to draw cartoonishly

I have gone through sketch books changing art styles for years I always think I have it but then my body acts like it’s been drawing just now, like this is what I’m trying to go for and I just can’t get the form down/ style

This is something I’m tryna to go for

That doesnt strike me as particularly "realistic", the proportions are very cartoony already, you may be drowning on a glass of water here.

Easy, make it your goal to learn to draw in a realistic style, as realistic as possible. Then when you draw for fun you can draw with the stylistic elements you want to emulate.

There’s no need to try to do everything at once. Focus on what’s possible, small, achievable, daily goals. Then you can move on to the other approach. It might take you a year to improve in whichever approach you choose.

Just focus on drawing in a similar style as your favorite artists. Think about what you really like in art, look for inspirations from different sources, and mix it all together.

Art is about decision making. You have to make a decision and know what you like.
