>So Lately I've been wondering how getting attention for you work on NG actually happens,
>I hear mostly that if you keep posting reasonably good art and other works you will eventually get a following, which has sort of happened but I see people with tonnes of fans and very little works put out, I have put out 121 artworks, not to mention games and animations too and lately I've been posting every few days with me making my Graphic novel, but most of my artwork doesn't get even the 5 vote necessary to get a star rank and my views rarely reach above the mid twenties, and I've only just reached 40 followers after posting for SIX years.
>My artwork isn't of low quality or anything and take quite a lot of effort and I'm pretty sure I'm scouted too.
>I don't really know what's going on? What am I missing, how do I get more attention on my works?
>I'm sure if anyone knows me and people with similar problems would be happy to know.
Can anyone help a poor artist out?

there it is, you're still in the mindset of "if I work hard I'll succeed" but art doesn't work that way. Working hard is the bare minimum, nobody cares how much effort you put into your art, they only care how good it is.
you made this thread but I think you know the reason already, your art is not appealing enough to be popular. That's all there is to it, that'll all it will ever be. People who complain about the algorithm are just coping.
Maybe in 2009 you could get popular at your current level because the internet was different, but now its way more globalized, there's exponentially more people browsing and scrolling, websites are way more optimized to waste people's time and give them only what it thinks they want.
You have to be exceptional to stand out and catch people's atetntion. If you can't do that, then too bad. Your art needs to compel people to share it to their friends. You need people to laugh, cry, and fight over your art. Being boring is much worse than being /beg/

I know you're ESL but come on now. There are no algoyrithms when we all go back to forums. It's long overdue. If people want updates from XYZ company they'd just join their discord server. Anything more than that can be conducted on forums. Your dream website portfolio can be coded at the drop of a hat with AI now. Social media is dead and redundant.

Elitist gatekeeping final boss.
>When the art listings include too much low quality work, people lose interest in browsing and everyone is hurt by that.
Do they care to explain why Deviantart is still in business while Newgrounds is bleeding money? Artists and consumers alike are hurt by exclusion. You're cutting off potential market like tumors, refusing to admit it's out of pure reputational vanity. Newgrounds of all places putting on daddy's tie and pretending to be a professional art portfolio site for calarts student films where grotesque beg jank made by randos in their basements isn't allowed promotion is peak hilarity. Way to pull the ladder up.

I'm not huge on social media, ~18k followers or so on twitter, but the best three things you can do are:
Consistency and posting a lot
Connect with other artists, sometimes friends much bigger than you will give you a boost
Draw fanart (I don't do this much but if you're drawing porn of a popular video game character the amount of attention it'll get is ridiculous)
And most importantly get lucky
There's artists who are way better than me who I see with under 1000 followers on twitter and bsky. Shit's not fair, you just have to focus on the stuff that is in your control.

you're not scouted. You were at some point, but you might have been either pruned (they unscouted whoever scouted you) or you got unscouted yourself.
You might have to ask a mod to fix that for you if you ever hope to be scouted again, since I can't see the usual prompt to scout you back in (not that i would)
that being said, your art is pretty rough, and your 3d comic is even worse. I wouldn't scout you myself, ng is already flooded with low quality stuff as is. sorry.

To not get scouted on NG, especially now that anyone can scout you, your work literally has to be kindergarten tier, and even then you actually might get scouted.
Getting scouted hasn't meant anything anymore for years now.
They even changed to not make who you got scouted by or which profiles someone scouted appear on profiles because people were just farming and practically achieving the opposite of what the system was made for.

You really believe it is? I mean nothing would make me happier than see that cancer go away finally, but even though I've also sensed it to be already on it's way out I would have believed it to take a few more years at least. Though I don't engage with any social media platform so it's hard for me to gauge.

it wouldn't even be looked at because it isn't hyperrealistic anime titties until some discord decided to make porn of salad fingers then everyone would be totally into the show just to tell everyone that they jerk off to the characters, not because they watch the show

I'm genuinely not trying to be a shithead when I say this, but you need to seek critique more often when you lack this much self-awareness about the quality of your work and adjust your expectations accordingly.

the scouting system ensures that people who put effort get in, there's plenty of beg art and if someone thinks you care about your beg drawings then you will be scouted. Its not like deviantart which acn be a storage site for screenshots or stuff thats barely art like hyper specific fetish ms paint stuff thats used to cope.

Yes.
Why would you work hard for the sake of working hard?
Look at cartoonists and their /beg/ drawings. They don't need to spend 20 hours on a single page like manga artists do while making 3x the salary.

skill and effort are not the same. If you were really good at drawing, you won't be half assing your drawings, you'll still be putting your full effort into them so the amoutn of calories you spend is the same.
