It's just kinda boring. It's a blog post in comic form.
There's a lot of ways you could have made it more visually interesting; The name of the old joint and all that text, it's all a big nothing burger. It doesn't actually capture the vibe of those kinds of places the way an illustration of it would. It doesn't have to be an amazing illustration, bu this is one of those spots where and image can say a lot more than words.
The slop joint stuff is a bit on the nose, but it's probably fine.

only use text for important stuff that can't be expressed visually. why not draw her generosity instead of explaining it? perhaps find a way of visually connecting the location instead writing "i will visit there" and "it was closed years ago".

Reddit spacing for readability:
first thing, the eyes focus on the white space in the first panel, terrible composition, white space is supposed to frame what you drew not the other way around
The depth in the first panel is so fucked, he has a giant thought bubble but also thoughts outside of his own thought bubble? the fuck is happening. Way too much info in one panel
Its not clear if that woman in the chain restaurant is the same as the one hes thinking about or if shes not, make it obvious one way or the other
The whole comic is just upsetting and sad and not even in a beautiful way but more of a "why did you show me this you fucking nigger".

i can't tell what the point of the comic is
if you're trying to make it funny you need a better punchline than funny faces
if you're trying to make it sad you need to present everything less ironically
