I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask for this.

But I would like suggestions here from animators, I'm familier with clip studio paint + TVPaint + opentoonz, and I would like to create a new animation software studio focusing on frame-by-frame animation with a full-on pipeline (storyboarding => animatic => frame-by-frame animation => painting => compositing shots with effects => video editing)

both compositing and video is just something I'm not planning for now, but maybe one day we could add it.

my basic plan is to take everything good from these softwares, and just mush them togather, the focus here is "perforamnce is #1", and also remove any unecessary bloat (like rigging and stuff like that)

would anons here migrate to this software? or do you think this is something not needed and you would just keep using your current software?

what made me look into this is that I looked at the clipstudio paint team, the animation capibilities of the software is almost impossible to improve unless they develop something from the ground up. (funding is not a big issue for me)

I only care if there's layers and vector tools and fancy brushes
I like moho for it's brushes but it's also a pain to use because frame by frame has no layers, just a single timeline. Wick is good for layers and my preferred vector tool but it doesn't have any features beyond that and is buggy

I'd Suggest adding the scrubby zoom and canvas rotation tools from photoshop
i fuckin despise having to tap away close up 5% at a time with a key bind
being able to manually adjust the zoom by draging my stylus across the screen gives me so much more control on the zoom without breaking eyecontact with my drawing to fiddle with the zoom percentage menu
same with the rotation tool sometimes i just wanna get a stroke right by spinning the canvas rather than fiddle away with the rotation menu
another is could you add somethiung lik the free floating customizable window thing tvpaint does
i like being able to just up and move the tool/color/properties tab around as i please

Any way to practice keeping the lines clean? I know the principles and I can give weight to animation, my drawings are decent but no matter how hard I work on the inbetweens it looks wobbly in the end.
I animate in Clip Studio Paint and I use onion skin and light table but I think I'm doing it all wrong

If you're worried about your representation being too specific, you could simply your own self to make it easier for the audience member to relate to better. Since you mentioned BA's sensei, he's made to be as generic as possible.

mmhhh, not really a priority of mine... adding line weight and complexity (also being forced to work on a much bigger canvas) it just fucks up my time window to do these "doodles". Every second that I shave out of these crude pieces counts. Right now I'm not even drawing consistently, but I can do a simple piece under an hour because of the simplicity of my "method". I can't bother (or afford) to invest much time into these silly drawings. But I get what you're saying, don't take me wrong.
