I kinda get this, but at the same time, it is very rare to have a customer / fan base that you actually like. Many creators deep down are annoyed by and/or deeply despise their fans for being obnoxious, but they will never ever let that show because they know those are the people that make the dream happen.

When I was genuine, I only had like 70 followers. Then I deleted that account and made a new one where I pretended to be Japanese. In less time than the 70-follower account was alive, the Japanese account had already reached 500+ Japanese followers, many leaving very sweet comments in Japanese, along with autistic westoid weebs also liking my drawings and requesting strange fetish variants.

The Japanese account was still going up in follower account before twitter introduced their new mandatory location data on a creator's profile. So then all the cool based Japanese people found out I was a stinky American and I had to delete my account lol.

I remember when I made a new female Ragnarok online account to pretend I was a woman ingame.
The gender of your character was tied to your account, so you couldn't choose it at character creation.
It lead to me getting into a guild without having to ask, getting carried to the higher classes personally by several others and getting free high tier equipment. Constant friendly interactions even with randos.
I think that experience dealt irreparable, permanent damage to the way I perceive women in society and the internet, as well as the narratives about real and online spaces being hostile towards them.
