>>7954117 >An art program >An improvement trap Even if you think the program is shit, to say it's an "improvement trap" is silly. A good artist can even make great art in MSpaint! You're just blaming your lack of skill on the tools, and not looking at your own lack of effort.
So anyway, onto the Topic of the thread: >ITT: only the massivest of /beg/ improvement traps. Krita.
>>7954126 >explain to summarize: >is advertised as an art program >is easily to most wonkiest, shittiest lineweight feel of all the art programs out there >using large brushes will lag it massively and sometiems even crashes because of it >crappy stock brushes
>>7954117 I'm not comfortable with how grayscale and value works in this software, though I argue that their blending tools, perspective tools, and communities are probably the best in the market right now. Photoshop is way more preferrable because of its printing system and opacity layer alone. But....... I'd take csp any day over procreate, that one is even more dangerous for /beg/ because it gives them the illusion of being able to draw, because the devs have made the program into something accessible to people that even someone who cant draw something could make a nice looking acrylic gradation in their ipad
>client bought me a CSP license some time ago to work on a comic >I used Krita instead because I'm more familiar with it >I just used CSP to add text and speech balloons to each page >some time passes >same client sent me some brushes he would like me to use in his next commission >I'm still using Krita Damn it! Do I really have to learn how to use that program now?
>>7954257 >exactly. for me it's only outmogged by procreate. ipads are fucking pricy though the apple pencil input delay is really horrible, it feels like i'm pulling it through treacle. maybe it's good for painting, i wouldn't know, i suck at that, and maybe it's good for inking, i wouldn't know, because i can never stand the feel for long enough to produce a sketch good enough that'd warrant throwing my entire workflow at it. at least this thing will never depreciate in value, people love apple products
>>7954149 >Largest free library in existence of brushes and accessible settings to modify them any way you want. How you managed to figure out how to use a phone enough to make your post is beyond me.
