I've noticed that normalfags tend to not really care so much about the technical aspect of a drawing as much as other artists but trying to find the kind of content that they resonate with is the most challenging.
Themes such as relationships or relatable shit tends to strike a cord with them the most.
>>7957528 >white background pin up of currently popular anime/gacha character in the same generic sexy outfits >the joke is sex/drugs with sexy OC or currently popular anime/gacha character >random current meme references or redraws using popular anime/gacha characters
Normalfags don't care about artists. They will not bring you fame or money (I assume you care about that). You are wasting your time trying to cater to them.
normies don't like art, but if you mean people that aren't super into anime and aren't goonerbrained-- >focus on composition >appealing color palettes >tone down the Sexie (if that's what you draw) meme references are appealing to normies but you're better than that >actually try to evoke some emotion besides horny or "they're hot"
>>7957552 forgor to finish my comment. something like your example picture causes me visceral disgust, i assume for normal people that is amped up 100x despite the fact that it's technically impressive it feels too voyeuristic
>>7957561 yeah, let me appeal to you autistic fucks that are never happy about anything and are so deep in irony you can't be bothered to make anything genuine.
>>7957565 I mean there are plenty of legitimate complaints you could have about /ic/ culture and 4chan culture in general, but I don’t think “too deep in irony to be genuine” is one of them. People here are pretty straightforward.
>>7957556 Literally nobody likes that style, you see it only because company executives have been brainwashed into thinking it's the best thing ever because of le simplicity
>>7957528 No, any fotm anime (e.g. frieren), newest gacha character (e.g. hoyoslop product), moeblob (idiot dumb empty character that are 'cute'), meme, and colors, lots of colors. Those are what normies want to see. Relationships and fictional character shipping art in general are fandom territory, which are might as well play with fire. Whatever your approach, I'm just going to tell you this: your artwork isnt relevant - the artwork that you draw for hours, days, or even weeks, they are not relevant for normies, because they dont care about details, about realism, about composition, anything, even having them staring at your artwork for a mere five seconds alone is a stretch, a new record high for their attention span. You could spend weeks thinking of doing symbolism with objects and implementing it carefully in your artwork but it will be useless because normies wouldnt get it. They dont want to think, they want to see people rendition from whatever flavor of the month anime that their master algorithm offered to their plate. To put it simply: your artwork is not substantial for them Again, I'm just telling you this, take anything that you want from it, this is something that you need to understand when it comes to approaching normies audience
>>7958474 Okay, what are you plans? The normies I'm thinking off would never even think about supporting an artist. They are laughing at you for pursuing a career like that.
