>get mogged by virtually everyone in the platoon
>remain the same weak ass bitch that I always was - both phyisically and mentally

does this happen in YOUR country?

No, I served conscription and most of my service consisted of sleeping in my guard tower, I spent 210 days (105 guard duties) in duty and slept through most of them. Most comfy was in the winter, we had those heavy sheep coats and we would lie on hot water pipes that run alongside post fence and cover ourselves with the coats.

Not in the military myself, but I have a few friends who are (Navy, Air Force, and Marines). They've all told me horror stories about how horribly corrupt it is, which is something I'd never considered as a civilian.
People exploit their rank at basically every opportunity. Good luck trying to report anyone who outranks you for misconduct, they'll likely just throw your report away. Retaliation for reporting misconduct is so widespread that it's viewed as part of military life, which in turn discourages lower ranking people from reporting anything, which in turn encourages more exploitation.
My navy friend told me about a girl at his base who got straight up gang raped by 3 people, one of whom outranked her. Literally everyone on the base knew what happened and knew exactly who did it. When she reported this all that happened was that she got moved to somewhere in Florida, her friend who tried to help her got move somewhere else, and the people who raped her just kept their jobs like nothing happened.
My basic understanding is that it's a lot like corporate America, but you have absolutely no hope of winning disputes with "upper management" when said management is the richest and most powerful military on the planet.

The military still need clerks, cooks, orderlies, mechanics etc. Only 10% of the modern army actually see combat. You join the military for the wrong reasons. If you wanted to get swole, join a gym.

>didnt the officer come by to check if youre keeping a good watch?
That's how it supposed to be, but noone ever came, only once our captain checked posts because he was just appointed there. I was even making up shit, there's a book where inspecting officers write a report every 2 hours after a check, but I was writing those because I had nicest handwritting.
>and if a suspicious person approaches ure supposed to aim the gun and check their identity
If a suspicious person approaches we were supposed to shoot at them (with rules of course). But the thing is that years ago, like back in the 90s, some guy in some other place blew his brains our on post, so we didnt even had our guns on duty lol, only a knife. On the other hand, if were empty caches in the middle of nowhere, nobody would ever go there. Sometimes I would even leave my post to stalker in the empty caches and storages.
>how did u sleep?
Peacefully usually. I got so good at sleeping I did my 15-minutes radio reports without even properly waking up.

Nah. Looking at the requirements any US service member should be able to easily get it. I don't think most branches require any kind of swimming but it's not a super hard swim and the rest is basically what you do in basic training anyway.

70% of my time in the army after leaving the bootcamp was random chores (guard duties, maintaining weapons, moving stuff around and move it back later, cleaning the floor, cliping the trees, dumping garbage etc.) , 25% was rehersal for ceremony because my unit got new tanks and probably 5% on real combat training

A rank and title is no excuse to be wrong. In my country we do things differently. When I was a mere stockingboy often my manager would say do this, do that, and I would plainly tell him no. There was nothing he could do to counter me, I was right.
You Germans pride yourself in your ability to wage in a civic society, yet we free Germanic Dutch mog your country in all ways.
Perhaps your concept of hierarchy is archaic and inefficient? No... no in Germany we don't self-reflect. We don't do that here.

we have DEI in the military here. Our top female leader turned minister is the biggest retard of this cabinet, only got promoted because she was a woman. We also have a military base, in which one of the headofficers is a tranny, if you utter even a word about "her" behaviour you get discharged on bad terms inspit of "her" being the bad one.
Imagine how badly of a cuck you have to be to work there as a so-called man.

pound for pound the Scandi militaries have better soldiers than the US bc Scandi armies are tiny and can select the best whereas the US military is huge. Except for special forces, the average Scandi soldier will be better than the average US soldier. That said, the US would still obviously whoop their asses due to all the equipment they have.

I'm glad I'm out, but I had fun in Syria. My platoon got a tour of this castle by some Arab midget and we swam in the Euphrates. We also bought a goat from a farmer, butchered it, and cooked it using the steel welded wire mesh from the Hesco barrier and ended up with food poisoning and probably cancer.

No combat but did find a ton of IEDS. My unit was doing route clearance out there also helping build up the SF guys outposts in Manbij. (Building latrines, setting up hesco barriers, tents, etc) They were training SDF and monitoring the Turkish border for FSA at the time.
We were mainly at Kobani Landing Zone (KLZ) which was located in northern Syria within the Aleppo Governorate, situated immediately south of the country's border with Turkey. The base was abandoned long after I left. They had our platoon put concertina wire all around the perimeter. Shit sucked and it was all pointless lol

Combat Engineer unit, specifically route clearance. We just sweep roads, routes, and facilities for explosives, landmines, and IEDs. It's not that fun. It's really monotonous.
We heavily relied on these two vehicles and handheld mine sweepers. I got stuck being in the Husky the whole time in Syria.

there are great people in the military, very smart officers and very fit and competent enlisted and NCOs. the people ITT are mostly just coping because they aren't fit enough or because they got rejected like the Dutch faggot.
ofc it's not for everyone, nothing is. and ofc obedience has limits when it comes to obviously unlawful orders etc. that is a given.
