This also happens here. The don't want whiteoid slave names so instead they just mash together letters and sounds until they find something unique and unmistakable black

Originally they tried to distance themselves from slave names and so adopted these weird names.
Unfortunately they don't really have a connecting with their roots, so they don't really have a culture to acquire a proper name.

It's also tied with their historical low education(caused in many cases by systematic racism), which prompted the creation of names which sometimes don't even make sense in any language.
The same phenomenon happens in latin america

The last guy for example. I believe some of his family must have been from islamic background (perhaps nation of islam), but not being aware on how arab names truly work he was named Rashad instead of Rashid

>It's also tied with their historical low education(caused in many cases by systematic(sic) racism),
funny how their education wasn't a problem post slavery but was post welfare state. must be that pesky racism.

Because they're not Africans and they have been raised to look down on Africans. African-Americans in the 60s started using French, Italian and Spanish names because for as much pride as they have in their African heritage, it literally doesn't exist anymore. The closest thing to ancestry they have is slave documents treating them like pigs and cattle
