Basically, stack elements, blow enemy up. Mist Train's gameplay is essentially team building. It's a game where you imagine your theoretical uber squad for a set of elements.

Also, the early influx of gems in Mist is huge. If you form a functional team, you can auto clear entire story chapters by just fighting their bosses. The game gives out some tickets that let you take units to a special training mission that automatically takes them to a certain stat level. That's another thing, stats are gained through grinding.

Also, you probably don't have a lot of cakes yet, but once you do, get everybody's affection up and you can click a button that automatically gets the gem rewards from all scenes without viewing them.

I tried using a rental this time and it gives the same amount of progress as an off element maxed sister. almotel seems bad and normal ana seems too niche since her active skill only works if you have burners and the enemy can be burned. the passive bonus crit damage doesn't seem that great when NY ana massively boosts crit damage.
