I liked Arifureta a lot as well.
From what I remember, I think it's because Arifureta is filled with a sense of adventure and discovery as well as companionship and excitement along with duty and prepotence to fulfill that duty.
You follow the protagonist across the land into the deepest dungeons of the world full of dangers in order to acquire the most fundamental and powerful magic, supposedly from the Hitlers of that world, only to find out that the Hitlers were actually the good guys all along and it is the god Jew that is the evil. So you then share the knowledge and the tradition, the will and the desires of the Liberators to free humanity from the devil, as you strive to return to your world where your dear family awaits.
On the journey you meet the most beautiful and endearing characters, or funny interesting characters that grow on you, helping good people while unleashing punishment and crushing any that dares oppose you or hurt your companions.
It is just a good story.
