This thread is for the discussion of anison (anime song), the genre of music made specifically for anime. Whether it be dedicated anime singers, voice actors, idols, as long as the song was made for an anime, it belongs here. Discuss your favorite anison artists and anime songs, and share your events and experiences!
Discussion of doujin music, anikura, idols, seiyuu (outside of their music careers), and mainstream Japanese artists go in their respective threads.

Halca is fun, though her voice is an acquired taste.

>it's the new season already and dedicated anison singers are still in decline and utaite/mainstream artists/VTubers are still taking over
We are never getting past this are we? I blame Shueisha and the like for chasing mainstream audiences.

>wtf really happened between the kalafinas and kajiura?
I genuinely think that there's a bad blood between them. Between Kajiura not present in the reunion, and Kalafina supposedly scrubbed everything Kajiura-related in the Ghibli wo Utau page, I can't think of anything else that happened. Maybe 2018 was really a culmination of disputes, clashes, and disagreement that ended up in a disband
>did the reunion show really happen?
Yes, but as I said, only at the Vocalists side, with no Kajiura attending there.
>any new music?
I don't think so. The new Madoka movie should answer that, but at this point, God knows if the songs that will be performed are composed by Kajiura or not. At least we know Kajiura is scoring the movie.

I mean, that is the general assumption, but looking it back now, I wonder if there's more to it than all the press release at that time.
Maybe the trio felt that they can do it without Kajiura overseeing all of their performance, and Kajiura herself saw that Kalafina had become too big to have an exclusive creative decision by herself.
