>Ziz has a Reality Marble, Astral Infant (幼星体, Yō Seitai?). It takes the form of his own body. He discarded his actual body long ago to use his Reality Marble as a body instead
So, Shirou can just replace his body with a walking pile of swords?

If Nasu found it cool then yes. If not, no.
Bland answer but yeah. Actually since Caubac is a thing and he turned himself into a padlock then it's possible that Shirou could theoretically put his soul into a sword or some bullshit, but it likely won't be able to move around.

Reminder
Leaf published Shizuku and Kizuato back to back, which were the origin of the denpa genre (basically psychological horror) and VNs as distinct from adventure games. Tsukihime's structure down to the dead ends, Ciel-sensei, and locked routes came from them, as well all the schizo scenes and fragmented mystery. Tbh Kizuato is more noteworthy since it has the exact same setup of returning to a childhood mansion after the father's death, same character archetypes, same themes of sexual abuse and incest, and even the same demon blood twist.

Wait. You don't actually believe that she's an Ancestor just hanging out in the Tohno mansion, do you? In Ciel's true end Dr Arach tries to get Shiki to contact some lady in Italy, that's probably her master. Dr Arach is some flesh golem or a mage.

Also, the spider in the French Incident talks exactly the same. The second most likely scenario is Arach being her successor.
I don't want to be a smug cunt but stop being so sure of yourself. It's a horrible habit, especially in something as volatile to learn about as Tsukihime. You probably don't even know about the two hospitals or Roa's actual host in the Remake.

Not to mention, she has a bunch of vaccines with pseudo-principles from other DAAs, like Roza. I'm sorry, but did you even read this VN? She is behind the spider monstrosities. She's clearly a vampire. She's allied with Roa. What more proof do you need? It's extremely obvious.

Reminder that Nasu pitching Fate/Zero to Urobuchi is what saved Urobuchi from depression.
>Unlike Shirou, Fate/Zero presents a lot of characters who fight for valiant ideals like "ending all wars" and "arriving at the root of it all."
>Nasu: They're all pretty old, so they fight with firm belief systems. However, among them, Matou Kariya, who's fighting for Sakura's freedom, is an anomaly. He, and only he, fights for a very shonen manga-esque ideal, "to save a girl." In that respect, I think it's easier for the reader to identify with Kariya compared to the valiant types like Kiritsugu. And I heard that Uncle Kariya's actual popularity (*2) among fans is off the charts. He is in love with Aoi, who's actually a wedded woman with a child, but he still isn't able to grow up, and dreams about being united with her. He's a bit of a problem.
>Takeuchi: I see. So Kariya is sort of like the chunibyo hero of the story. (TL Note: Good explanation of chunibyo here for people not familiar: 中二病[chunibyo])
>Uro: It's a disease that summons death. Because he has the "chunibyo" disease, he let the worms into his body, until finally he only has one month left to life.
>Nasu: Maybe all chunibyo are fated to end up this way... I have chronic chunibyo myself, so maybe I'll end up just like Kariya... (Laughs)
>Takeuchi: Kariya really seems like the main character in the anime version of Fate/Zero. His drive to save Sakura and how he envelops the depression connected to Tokiomi really makes him look like a dark hero. Maybe that's why he's so popular.
>Nasu: Usually if I drew a dark hero like Kariya, he'd lose almost everything only to have all his hard work pay off in the end. But of course, Urobuchi-san goes and has characters like Kariya die without any sort of retribution.
>Uro: Well, I did let him see a "good dream" at the end. (Laughs) In the beginning, I actually wanted to do more with him. But because of the way his body ended up, making him fight more would kill him...

I don't hate Kerry as much as I hate the subgroup of fans who somehow think he's "cool" or the hero of the story, and hold him up on a pedestal for it.
He's specifically written to be an awful person and the final, overarching villain of FSN, and he's written really well for that role. But there's a vocal minority of Zero fans who have zero (pun intended) media literacy.
Kerry is the the walking, talking definition of a manchild (literally in this case), and some fans will go "Hell yeah! He's so dark!". I think I dislike them for the same reason I dislike Andrew Tate fanboys; they display an extreme lack of critical thinking, and only take a passing glance at the surface of things.

A child's mind in an adult body.
In Kiritsugu's case literally: due to his severe trauma, he was unable to grow mentally and emotionally past the island incident when he was 12(?) years old. This is why he always makes such bad decisions and why he seems "dumb" to the viewer; he can't think things through and can't use logic the way most adults can.
Kiritsugu's mind never left the island, only his body did.
>>
Why Kiritsugu is an awful person:
The way he sabotaged Shirou's training by making him practice with an inefficient and possibly deadly method for years.
How he treated Saber like shit and refused to even talk to her after learning she's a girl.
His cheating on his wife with Maiya who he technically groomed.
The fact he actually thought he should have killed all the civilians in the building where Kayneth was when he blew it up tells me a lot about the amount of needless killing he probably did in his life because of his dumb philosophy.
And in the LN, he also considered using the old Mackenzie couple as hostages against Waver to do the same thing he did with Kayneth and Sola-Ui.
Not gonna lie, I'm curious how people would have reacted if that one actually happened in Fate/zero considering how much more liked the duo Waver/Iskandar is compared to Kayneth/Diarmuid and that the old couple is actually innocent compared to Sola-Ui.
Oh, and he’s mentally retarded.

The final redpill is that Nasu got bored of the Mahoyo and Tsukihime story and the main characters, he doesn't want to remake his old works. He views remaking his old works as homework he has to finish before being able to make something he truly wants which Fate and playing Hidetaka Miyazaki's next game
2004
>Nasu: Fate was originally a story I wrote when I was in college. In it the gender of Saber and Shirou were opposite to now, but the essential theme had not been changed, it's the story about legendary heroes and "a boy meets a girl."
>Takeuchi: I created it because I just liked it, and I wanted to make something like Tsukihime, but more sophisticated. I changed the character's gender, in order to have them fit in with the gamers today.
>Nasu: Well, I remember one of the reason it was changed was because he made the request to let him draw a girl with armor. Finally it came true. XD
>Takeuchi: In the beginning, we created Fate in our doujin group, so at first I hesitated to move on to the commercial field. When the first Fate story was completed, I felt: "Now could be the time for us to expand our field." We decided at the start that we must work with responsibility and expand our activity to another media form. I catched anime in my scope at that time. This time, we got an offer from Geneon Entertainment, Co., and we decided to agree to their offer
>Saber and Rin's routes were meant to be "Fate/Stay Night" and Sakura and Illya's were meant to be "Fate/Other Night, as in two sides of the same coin
2008
>The real meat Type-Moon is going to focus on in the next decade are going to be the Tsukihime remake, the Mahoyo trilogy, and the DDD novels that Nasu said he was going to put off hiatus soon.
2010
>With Mahoutsukai no Yoru, we're trying to combine my words, Koyama's art, Tsukuri Monoji's directing, and the music -- all these different elements -- into a single scene, so it's closer to making a movie than it is to an adventure game
>Koyama: I think it'd be easiest to describe it as the same length as Saber's story in Fate. In terms of hours, I think it will last about 18 if every sentence is read at a normal speed.
>Nasu: I think Fate is like reading a 15-volume manga all at once. Mahoutsukai no Yoru is more like watching a two-hour movie. I'm not talking about actual length here, but the overall feeling.
>We're mixing the text on screen with cinematic directing, music, and sound effects. We're worried that adding characters' voices to the equation would increase the amount of information on the screen to a point that users wouldn't be able to focus on the points they should
>Nasu says the real story will begin in the 2nd part, a brand new work
>After Mahoyo, Nasu wanted to finish on the long awaited DDD series
2012
>What is 『Fate』 to TYPE-MOON?
>Nasu: 5 years ago we said that "this will not go beyond one product," but even saying TYPE-MOON now is just another word for 『Gundam』. It just keeps changing forms and moving forward. That’s not to say we’re just artificially extending it, of course. 『Fate/EXTRA』 was a good test for us. It was fun to write, and fun to make. If the players also enjoys it then it’s a Win-Win, is it not?
>Takeuchi: As a product I do feel like it has grown much more than I expected. Whenever we said that 『Fate』 was over and done with, it would refuse to die. I suppose it’s only natural to love and revere something that you have spent so much time cultivating and being so fulfilled by, and to become so attached to it. I don’t mean to be obsessive, but I do want to treat this with utmost care, as we have done up until this point.
>Nasu: This is for us what 『Final Fantasy』 is for Square Enix. On a way smaller scale, of course!
>Takeuchi: I know you may sometimes think "Not another 『Fate』!" but even "another" 『Fate』 game wouldn’t be 『Fate』 at all.
>Nasu: We plan to our utmost into every 『Fate』 so that the players who have stuck it out with us so far love it just the same. If we can just do that the fans will still be with us even as they say "Ah, its 『Fate』 again."
2015
>TYPE-MOON were planning on releasing Tsukihime in 2014, but most of their energies eventually turned to FGO. They sort-of restarted production on Tsukihime in 2017, but Takuechi and Nasu were still mostly busy at the time. By the summer of 2020 they returned to production in earnest.
>As for the Far Side routes, there will be 4 of them, including Satsuki. As for now, they have not entered production yet, but currently TYPE-MOON's focus are the climax of FGO part 2 and the Far Side of Tsukihime. None of the new routes will probably be as massive as Ciel Route, however.
2024
>Nasu will never stop milking Fate
>Nasu wants to remake CCC
>>
Nasu Kinoko: I believe fantasy can be divided into two types…
One resembles The Lord of the Rings—a tale of dreams and hope, essentially a “fable” with strong allegorical ties to reality. The other is “wish-fulfillment fantasy,” centered on “Wouldn’t it be great if this existed?” or “This would bring joy if it’s real.”
My works belong to the latter.
But “Wouldn’t it be great if this existed?” must ultimately tie to technological progress. If fulfilled solely by a mysterious, mystical power, then it’s nothing more than an curious, quirky tale — and to me, that’s just not as interesting.
To make stories truly compelling, you need to weave in sci-fi imagery that sparks the thought in people living today: “Ah, I see… something like this could actually happen.”
Thus, a “compelling fantasy” necessitates sci-fi elements. Without them, works risk becoming mere “fables.” Though if that’s the goal, one might as well commit fully… but that drifts beyond entertainment’s scope.
Nasu Kinoko: Again, this might sound like hindsight bias, but I don’t see it as blending sci-fi and fantasy so much as “merging what’s cool with what’s cool.” Honestly, I prefer “mystery” over pure fantasy—my writing naturally leans into logic-heavy storytelling, which is partly why my work skews sci-fi.

Just because her story is over doesn't really justify her being turned into a gag character with no remnants of what she used to be. Every tourist knows her as the moe face of Melty Blood it's pretty fucking cringe. One time I met some guy with a Kohaku pfp and asked him if he read the VN, he said no, then asked him if he knew anything about the character and he said "yeah I read about her tragic backstory on the wiki" like come on. Then the other dumbasses include the girlboss faggots acting all tough and shit, which is pretty cringe as well but you get the point. It's like a really early example of an FGO character in a way
>>
>>51008731
You must be so old. Anyway it's just annoying to have any and all discourse about the character revolve around dumb memes. I've barely seen anyone talk about how they fixed the continuity errors with the maids in the Remake for example. Kohaku starts drugging Shiki as early as Day 1, but you don't hear about it because the OG elitist crowd keep circlejerking like I described in the previous post and Remake onlies treat her like a moe character, much like the FGC tourists.
It's fucking forced. I despise it. It's in part Nasu's fault for not pushing Red Garden out, but it's not like that would solve the issue. You don't fucking see people treating Fujino and Sakura like this. THAT'S what I mean.
TM is responsible for this anyway since they laid the seeds in KT and Melty.
>>

In the OG maids had no relavance when the first three routes were being written. Kohaku impersonates Hisui but nothing comes of it, this was likely something that was added after the maid routes were thought of anyway, the routes themselves were NOT written with them in mind. Stop lying

I do, because the developers themselves said so. Nasu said that the maid routes were thought of and implemented later and were not planned originally, and also Kohaku's route was written in a week. For all I know they could've just put that there for the lulz to see if anyone would realize before making the maids an actual component in the story.

>Kohaku leading Shiki into Roa's lair has no relevance?
One of two things.
One, it doesn't.
Two, it was added later.
Either way if you're going to call me a liar you might as well call Nasu and Takeuchi liars as well.

Spending less time working on the maids routes doesn't mean they didn't decide the general plot beforehand.
It doesn't mean either that they went back and changed stuff in the near side routes to make things more consistent.
And EVEN if they did make changes, that just means they made an effort to add extra foreshadowing and fix possible plot holes.
So your complains are without rhyme or reason.

Mr correct opinion here. Reading kohaku's was awful because all of the shit was unraveled in Hisui's. The heroine is garbage and is only saved by Red Akiha and Nanaya v Akiha confrontation. Just like how Sakura is a shit heroine and the route was saved by Illya and Kireis' greater involvement in the story.

I really wonder if Red Garden will expand their routes to be fully featured. It seems tough in the first place to have four routes in part 2 when part 1 only has two. I know it's a ridiculous thing to say but I honestly would've been fine with the maids having their route completely replaced by a full Satsuki route.

The real filler here is Hisui, but even then it can be used as a leg just the same as it was in the OG to set up Kohaku's while also introducing SHIKI-Roa a bit more and also whatever villain out of the three or so available and Mio and etcetera. Sort of like the Arcueid route of Far Side, in a sense. Kohaku is involved more in the story now and astute players must have figured out something wrong with her already (notably Gotou's comments), and SHIKI will also be expanded especially with the route order being changed to Hisui > Kohaku > Akiha > Satsuki, I'm betting on an inverted SHIKI reveal in Akiha's route after he sees her in her Vermillion form. I don't think the makds will hurt the last two routes too much.
What is shitty is True Arc hurting Satsuki, and if RDG doesn't get implemented into Kohaku's route. Same with the "Tsukihime Prologue" where Zelretch meets Arcueid, if that doesn't get put into True Arc.
Maid routes being short will be fixed, and I assume the filler be remedied as well.

Pity Olga has a different VA (she's perfect for her) but it's funny Azrael has Shiki's newest VA.

Also, they're supposedly Japanese, though Akiha is an oni mutt (then again even Kouma is 175cm which is high for someone Japanese I suppose but still) and the maids are also related to demon hunter families, though Shiki questions if they're foreigners over their hair being red.

I had to drop Yu-Gi-Oh due to how fucking expensive that card game got over the years. Also didn't help that the covid hoax killed off my local scene for good.

Been close to a year since I finish Tsukihime OG and have little desire to play the Remake still. Voiced VNs take a lot out of me I think. I'm relatively close to finishing Mahoyo's extra chapter, but I can't imagine wanting to hop into Tsukihime any time soon.

Both versions are over 100 hours combined and the story is 80% the same. Why would any OGfag want to read the Remake? Unless you're nostalgic, but nostalgia takes a solid decade to form not a year. I mean I have Steam games that I've put on hold 2 years ago and the controls are still fresh in my memory as if I've played them last week. The Remake is for Fate onlies to get into Tsukihime, also I suppose someone who read the OG in 2015 might get something out of the Remake. You? Wait until the 2030s and just read Red Garden.
>Voiced VNs take a lot out of me
Turn off the voices or skip to the next line before the VA finishes. That's what I do with all voiced VNs unless there's a cute slice of life scene.

>Why would any OGfag want to read the Remake?
Because Ciel's route is a trillion times better and Arcueid's also has improvements and good changes. Remake as it is is still longer than all of OG. The VAs are really good and characters like Roa get insane glow ups, while Nrvnqsr's replacement for near side is more of an actual character than an aura farmer who wasn't even originally meant to appear and many more reasons

My hot take is that Nrvnqsr was a better first antagonist and had a better overall boss fight in the OG. Sometimes less is more, you don't need two 3 hours boss fights against Vlov. That being said it was done incredibly well in Ciel's route, it was hype when Waltz of the Icefields started playing.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlAmeSnUKGI

I can't believe fsn deen and ubw ufo is better adaption than the FSN heaven feel movies. FSN HF should've been a full blown anime instead. Deen and ubw both felt like an event, cinema, and a celebration for those two routes.

Started going through the rest of Act Cadenza’s Arcade Modes after a long break. Melty games are the best feeling fighting games I think I’ve played, though I imagine they’d feel horrific if I played someone even competent. I’ve already forgotten how to grab, not like I need it against CPUs

Evangelion is coming to Sonic Racing CrossWorlds with an official collaboration
Why doesn't Fate get good collaborations? HSR is slop

I do. What else am I supposed to waste my life on? Fishing and hunting like a real man? Those hobbies are not fun anymore now that my father passed away, in fact they're painful because they remind me of him.

Nah, he knew I was a failure who can't do better than stock shelves for a living but he took responsibility. I was his slow boy, his punishment for reproducing when he was almost 40 and mom was in her mid 30s. Yeah, obviously you'll make a mentally ill child if you reproduce when you're that old. Thank God I didn't end up with Down syndrome or homosexuality.
