>ARCHAIC TALE EP1
It's been almost 10 years. Where's EP2.

Moved to an area that has a round1 20 minutes away from me and man I never realized how fucking weird it is to play IIDX on a IIDX controller. I just play BMS on a keyboard since forever and the button layout kills me.

SDVX is insanely fun though. Not hugely a fan of the more touch screen based games, I like the button feedback.

This "zek*mashi" is a nigger, how hard was it to write proper instructions for the damn lever instead of leaving half of it in discord and omitting a bunch. And no you can't use a studded bolt for the shaft unless you hate yourself. Horrible mistake.

SDVX is a furry game.

Few weeks ago I had issues clearing difficulty 13 songs, now I'm about to UC Sudden Death on 15.. This games fun as fuck once you get more used to it.

I'm still trash but ill keep working to improve!

Touch screens are the second worst thing to happen to rhythm games. The first is the mouse.

Hell yeah. Just don't get lax on the lasers, they're insanely fun once you get the hang of more laser heavy charts.

I loaded my round1 card with the 800 credit pack and have made a couple trips up to my local venue, down about 200 credits so far. I still only play 12 and 13+ on my first and fourth plays just because I get a bit scared of failing depending on the track and it seems like as long as you pass 2 and 3 you always get the 4th play. Game's a blast, bought a controller so I don't get assrammed by credit prices in the long run and so I can play riskier stuff with more hand switches and laser patterns without fear of failing and losing more money.
There's this kind of wall where it feels like you don't really see the more advanced explorations of the gimmick until you play on exhaust or the higher level advanced tracks (which are way too hard for me still). I see those tricky one-hand plays even on low-level exhaust songs so I tend to look for 10s and 11s on exhaust.

I just like buttons. Touch screens don't feel as good to play. Chunithm was pretty fun but at the end of the day it doesn't give me the tactile feedback and sound I want. Maimai buttons feel great to hit but for me being forced to use the touch screen to do slides(?) threw everything off about it.

Will do, do you have any recommendations for songs that work as good laser practice around 15?

>>51009570
Having a controller really helps, the amount of practice necessary to get good at this game is quite high, while I love playing at the arcade I feel like for actual practice it's not feasible except if you're made of money

honestly I wonder how much money people who play stuff that seem like you can seemingly only really play them at arcades like chunithm and maimai must have spent to be at a high level. SDVX controllers are quite cheap and easy to setup at home but I feel like you just have to import an entire cabinet for the others.

You probably dont really want to know

Respect to them though

I really wanted to get a taiko controller as well but I'm renting and my walls are paper thin so that just doesn't work sadly..

ah no need to sweat it this early, just enjoy getting better, lasers will only become a hurdle at 17-18.

Alright then, I feel like I'm struggling with overwhelming patterns (I just cant input that many notes lol) and one handed patterns right now, but overall there's steady improvement.

Cleared my first 16 (barely) yesterday as well

Same, just feels impotent. Especially trills on flat surface feel like shit.

Reminds me that I got to try gitadora for the first time and I don't know if it's just the cab/controller they have here but man it felt like shit to play. Tried fucking with audio offset and everything but it was just like nothing I would finger would land, like there was some weird input lag on the fret buttons. Been probably a year since I last booted up clone hero so I expected to be bad but this felt like something else, like you had to fret everything long before you had to strum it.

Also holy hell the strum bars on those guitars are HEAVY
