Imagine having your own seaplane in a world that is basically an archipelago? How comfy would it be to have your own flying houseboat where you can just fly off to do some fishing on a whim?

I like the concept of the whiskers that seem like they'd be: 1)hydrofoils to get in contact with water before waves can slam hull. 2)WIG to get extra lift, even if small, by being so close to surface (but also no danger if they do contact water). 3)aux winglets for normal flight. 4)crash bars in case landing gear gives out and/or you are forced to land in brush, and just extra energy absorbing structure between ground and cabin. 5)Oh, and I guess boarding steps for when you want to get in/out of plane in open water. 6)anti-roll damping for when sitting in water. would add a damping effect that even wing tip floats wouldn't have.
