>>65210450 Then yes that will serve you fine. In terms of ruining it you can't really ruin it, its not a proper replica nor is it historically accurate or significant. Its a musket shaped modern manufactured black powder gun. I don't know how good the glass is, but Traditions sells a kit for mounting scopes.
>>65210485 I wasn't concerned about ruining the rifle, but the scope. I'm thinking something along the lines of a Burris scout scope, and I'm wondering if all of the smoke and sparks will ruin the scope. I apologize for being vague.
>>65210450 >Muzzle loading seasion >Also flintlock season Is this implying there's guy with percussion cap or flintlocks that get their own time out there?
>>65210989 A Pic rail and a scope isn't very traditional on a flintlock either. You should go all in on the modern stuff or go all in on a nice looking historical reproduction of something like a Kentucky Longrifle.
>>65210334 They aren't at all bad. Mine is a percussion and was the build-it-yourself version but it's basically the same thing. They're reasonably accurate at 100-200 yards and you can definitely hunt most animals with it (I've used mine for quail) so if you don't mind spending like 500 bucks it's pretty good.
>>65215802 Why does it have a magwell? This is super fucking lazy especially for that price, I'd expect a custom chassis not Bubba getting creative with extra PSA uppers and lowers.
>>65210776 >>65210989 >>65211112 >traditional There is no traditional flintlock scopes and no one makes replica scopes for mid 19th century breechloaders that can be mounted on a flintlock. Just git gud. Davy Crockett didnt use a scope.
>>65218670 Doesn't hi lux make replicas of those old long tube scopes? And all you'd have to do is cut another dovetail, which would be easy if your gun has an octagon barrel
