would they have gotten through?

Probably. Russian AD likes to sit in a chair.

At this point I'm convinced that a coked-out Finn with a J-29 could penetrate Russian airspace and cause major havoc.

Is this the 2022 convoy?

Every single truck used for the invasion has long been destroyed anyways

>haven't seen an MT-LB destroyed in months

are they extinct now?
>>
>>65217461
Supposed to be, yes. The country with the most MT-LBs is now either Iraq or Finland.
>>
>>65217443
The only available unit was fucking up VDV in Hostomel at this time.
>>
>>65217461
I think they found an abandoned storage facility around Moscow that had a shitload of them or something, but soviet-era MTLBs are basically extinct once this war is over
>>
>>65217227
They're losing more trucks than that on the road to Crimea every day now.

Extinct in the wild, but some examples survive in captivity across the west

I remember all the A10 bros were out of their fucking minds when this was all happening. Just foaming at the mouth of the prospect of a highway of death x10

Mattias Rust would agree.

So it's any man's guess just how many of those can be refurbished.

There are probably a few hundreds left across Siberia, used in logging etc.
>>
>>65217964
Out of the nearly 3k that they had in storage, Russia supposedly only had 500 or so still in storage as of late 2025. And I think they had another 3k or so in active service back in 2022. So at most there's roughly 1k russian MT-LBs still running around, but the actual number is probably a few hundred less than that

With how heavily they've de-mechanized, they've probably also been pushed back into howitzer towing duty instead of estraz BTR work.
