I am a Police officer in rural Victoria, Australia. I just had to process the dumbest charge I will ever have.
>call over radio
>guy was mugged by a... biker gang? in a suburb in this town? bullshit!
>claims one of them had a gun in his pocket and pointed it at him
>he says they are chasing after him on foot
>suburb only has one road in and out, block it off
>find him quickly
>find the "gang" of bikers
>bunch of boomers, all 60+, larping as a biker gang
>they thought it would be funny to Jump in front of him, scream at him to give them his wallet, as a joke, very funny you see
>ah yes, pretending to have a gun in your pocket, what a hilarious prank
>he just threw them his wallet and sprinted off, they chased after him to "give it back and explain it was a joke"
>they call him a "soft cunt" who should just "have a sook"
>After hearing this he says that he 100% wants to press charges
>have to arrest 10 65+ year old dickheads dressed like a bikie gang
>they really REALLY don't understand why they are being arrested for a "joke"
>"but i didn't have a gun, i was just pretending!"
>"Yes, and pretending to have a gun is a criminal offence"
If they did this to a cop on duty, they would have been shot.
Americans, and other armed people, what would you have done in this situation? I think they guy did exactly the right thing for our situation in Aus, give them your wallet and sprint off, call the cops. I've seen too many men stabbed because they tried to fight back against an armed criminal

Just a point, i have only seen two firearms injuries in real life, both accidents, both 22lr. One self inflicted bullet into the foot, one farmer who forgot to unload a rifle after fox hunting who managed to shoot himself in the arm.
Stabbings are pretty common though.

Who's doing the stabbings? Maori's or native Aussies?
