it had the potential to be a magnum opus but hussie killed it because he hated being popular

homestucks main problem was garnering a readerbase that was only interested in character melodrama, up until the whole 3 year journey bullshit it was even pretty good

Hussie stopped being able to handle the ever increasing attention and criticisms when her dad died during the gigapause, you can really feel the story speed up severely in the last few hundred pages (which could've been 1000 or more....)
