Does anyone else hate PrEP ads? Seeing billboards advertising drugs designed for people that want "safe" casual anal sex with a large number of partners is probably one of the most radicalizing things normies see in their day-to-day lives. I understand that getting the word out among populations likely to spread diseases is helpful to everyone, but does this not seriously harm cishets' view of /lgbt/?
Now that I'm thinking about it, does PrEP even reduce STD rates? Or does it give a false sense of security to people most likely to acquire and spread other illnesses not covered by it?

Yeah but the only other STD that's even a big deal is herpes, and it's not even that big of a deal. In the meantime free PrEP means HIV is going to be extinct in a generation or two. It's not about "guilt free sex on tap" it's about we humans are going to deliberately cause the extinction of something that we don't like to make God notice us.
The other thing PrEP does is force sexually active people in high risk groups to get tested every three months. Which means people who are being exposed to bacterial and fungal STDs are getting it identified and treated quickly, and even people with herpes are getting it identified so it's spread can be controlled (no more rawdog for you).
It even helps with things like monkey pox because it enabled epidemiologists to identify the presence of the contagion early and deploy the vaccine to where it's needed when it's needed.
Let the normies whinge, the fact that tenofovir isn't being extensively subsidized in south east asia and africa because Gilead wants to milk it for all it's worth is effectively mass murder. It's millions more infections before the virus is annihilated for good.

I do not think most cishets care. And the net societal benefit of less HIV spreading through both LGBT and cishet populations is much greater than that of not talking about HIV prevention in front of someone who likely already hated us (like some of the people on 4chan, for example).
