Fuck them anon, you just laugh at retarded faggots like that who not only probably don’t read, but follow a “man” who probably doesn’t read (anymore)

High culture isn't for Bell Curvers, or university, or actual performance arts-- tolerating picrel & what he described merely sustains literary culture and works at a convenient price and mass distribution. Greorgia Guideston talmudic Malthusianry is all well and good capped at a global 500 million until there's a literal second Deluge or asteroid bullshit. Safety in numbers indeed.

>modern scifi, horror, and fantasy
>megapopular books from tiktok or reddit
>a woman author to not feel bad
This is the literary opposite of /lit/.
/lit/ does not read any book from the 21st century, hates on social media popular books, and does not feel guilty for not reading women.

For a guy who pretends to be into literature, he's pretty fucking fraudulent.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=0BwRauAB6Zc
He appears in a video with Jared Henderson (another deranged fag) where they talk about male readers and Blood Meridian in particular, and his explanation as to why Blood Meridian is so popular with males is "Uhh.. it's because.. like.. guys just want to go die in a war!" which is his strange way of saying that guys seek out the book specifically because it's a difficult read. It's not that the book is described as a gory, fever dream of a western - classic Americana, or even that it's just highly recommended. He can't fathom that guys would just read a book because it's good or interesting. No, it has to be a dick measuring contest. Because men. Because gay. What a stupid faggot.
Also picrel

I felt guilty for having not Dickinson for a while because I felt I was missing out on some high tier poetry… I was right to feel this way.
>>25209701
What a fucking loser, it’s almost like he doesn’t actually believe what he’s saying in that video you’re talking about, but trying to dig for any reason why the book is popular that conforms to his sociopolitical beliefs as if that’s the most important thing in the world. That whole “men seeking the book out because it’s hard” argument is projection. From what I understand it’s his favourite book but for some reason he likes to bash it for extraneous reasons, reasons that have nothing to do with it.

This could make a good point except that in this specific case the other option is to read (or, according to the video, BUY TO CONSUME) a book just because an e-celeb did a video about it and then people started to post it on reddit to win easy karma.

He genuinely looks like an Estonian toddler diddler. Has that Finno-Ugrian pedo aura about him, with touches of Dahmer.
Shame that you have autism and can't read people.

>he has one big video on butcher's crossing
I remember watching that. It might as well have been Nostalgia Critic recounting the plot and then saying whether or not he liked it at the end, but without any kind of charm or humor.
>>

Op’s a faggot but not more so than this dude’s comment section. Literally nonstop comments of “I disapprove of [author]’s misogyny but I really like…” or “a lot of just casual racism but…”
Fucking virtue signaling cucks. Just say you like the fucking books, who gives a shit?

I don’t think I’ve read a woman author in like a year.
>>25209701
God, I’m glad I don’t seem to have that redditor gene. I can’t even grasp giving a fuck what anyone around me thinks about what I read, whether it’s literary or just slop. They make a whole philosophical movement of “you just gotta…. Not le care!!” as if this were some profound revelation one couldn’t get in high school (like the vid you linked) but then turn around and actually care about why men gravitate towards certain books or whether some author had an opinion that wasn’t one to one with the Current Year 2026 Ethics patch. This is literally the epitome of performative dogshit, the very same thing these s o y tubers seem to rant against 24/7. I hate ranting about people who I didn’t know existed a minute ago but this shit is so fucking gay and I can’t understand how a man willingly lives his day to day like this.

youtube kept spamming me iwth this guys "i read the most fucked up books ever written" video and it was the most disappointing thing ever. guy didnt even have hogg on the list, it was mostly just normie shit like " a little life"

Normies are so easily disturbed, it bums me out. "This is the darkest book ever written!" That's No Longer Human, and it's about a whiny dickhead.
"This is the most fucked up book I've ever read!" And then it's Dead Inside, which is about some necrophiles, sure, but it's transgressive, so it barely counts as shocking. It's like none of them have ever read anything that made them dry-heave before.
>>
>>25209701
For a board that claims to have an IQ of 200 you guys sure are oblivious.
He is clearly trying to style himself as "the book youtuber" which means he needs to be a soft pathetic-looking rule-abiding nonthreatening little cunt espousing opinions that are not threatening to anyone actually handling the money at Youtube. His ambitions are to become the Bill Maher of books on a large media platform. Advertise completely boring milquetoast shallow "Well I guess it's correct" normalfag views as something subversive, like a single sprinkle of red pepper into a dull gruel, and let the algorithm spread him among the normalfags. He'll get it too, because unless you dramatically fuck up like Piratesoftware you'll be rewarded for being a narc, a backstabbing little goy actively working to keep his peers under thumb.

You’ll be fine, I’m 47 and I find it’s easier to find women my age, they’re just used up unfortunately. But fortunately for me I’m what they call a volcel, have been for over a decade, which is what 5 children to 4 different women will do to you.

he's right, book readers are incredibly pretentious for reasons other than just reading, they prefer discussing personalities and events around the narrative instead of actually engaging with the material, its exhausting that most threads on this board exhibit this behaviour and calling it out never leads to any meaningful change probably because it's filled with naive undergraduate zoomers too shallow to appreciate the life experiences they're required to read about in school

Anon, I just like to sperg about my favourite passages from Hamlet and Paradise Lost like a schoolgirl with people who also enjoy the poetry of those two crazy brits. Well, the latter at least was kinda crazy, Bill was miserable but he seemed to have had it together. There aren’t many people I know irl who I can talk to about this stuff :(

>I am going to pay for a photoshoot of me and my wife semi-naked

What is the point of doing something like this? Was a single post saying "wife is pregnant, so happy!" not enough for this performative, social media addicted millennial?
