H
I refer to Deleuze and Derrida, in particular, as “philosophers of decomposition,” who have, without irony, contributed metaphysically to the disorientation of the Western hemisphere. The absence of possible modes of difference and consistency of consequences produces one thing above all else: an indifferent fog.

Those frogs did literally nothing of consequence (except create more troons) I think you’re giving them too much credit.

haven't read derrida since undergrad - but deleuze is no more a 'philosopher of decomposition' than carpenters can be considered destroyers of wood.

also this is guy >>25211104 is right at least in the sense that the world derrida and deleuze came into was already one of rapid unceasing decomposition - 'all that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned' is how marx described the movement of capitalism - and it's silly to say that that's all the result of philosophy books. it's simply the historical starting point we all have to face up to.

[cont.] i mean one of the most important tasks for deleuze is figuring out how to construct what he calls a plane of consistency, a stable background against which differences become meaningful. how does that fit into you philosopher-of-decomposition frame?

The very concept of identity is undermined by difference; what we are seeing is a widespread identity crisis in the West, and Troons are a manifestation of this.

We are all children of our time—a gift. But we also help shape it. Hence a counter-question: How is consistency possible without stability, hierarchy, and identity? Or to put it another way—when Deleuze speaks of a “plane of consistency”—isn’t consistency itself already a form of stability? How does this stability differ from the kind he criticizes?

I think people who are too stupid to write their own posts should be put in labor camps.
