I've been to libraries all over Europe but since I went to the British Library that will be the largest one by some margin.
Interestingly the one in Denmark is the 10th largest slightly /above/ the library of France in Paris.

I forgot what exactly it's called but the main branch downtown of the Philadelphia public library is massive yet comfy.
I really enjoyed the few times I went.

until trump fired the last secretary of the library they kept having nigger carribean parties in the main hall right behind this reading room and the bass was so hard your chair would shake.
The negresses doing all the "admin" work hated anyone who showed up for the actual books and were insanely condescending. the cloak negress would ignore me and keep scrolling her phone when i wanted to hand in my jacket and bag. Only time she was friendly to me was when she thought i had been at the dance event, but when I told her no, i had been trying to read (and now gave up), she frowned and dropped my jacket on the table before i could grab it.

Genuinely a birth of a nation tier dystopia going on in that building.

>beg them to take me to the library of congress for the tour
>beautiful building, really excited to see The Library
>tour guide herds us onto a small balcony overlooking that reading room
>starts blabbering about the room's history
>notice that the bookshelves on the far end look weird
>squint a little bit
>they're painted onto the fucking wall

The county's central library, in my state's largest city. It's a fairly old building, by the standards of my state, at over 110 years old. It's the largest library in the state, though some of the universities have modern libraries that are almost as big, including the one I went to.

It's equally funny to me if amerifats paint books on their walls or if this nigga was just blind at 14 and invented this headcanon. I can't find any evidence for painted bookshelves though. Please provide proofs.

I thought this was like an a-hundred floor tall library and I was gonna say "Jump, nigga."
