If everything were "self-evident" according to as it appears plainly to us, then we would have no need for deeper investigation and understanding.

>“The fundamental absurdity of materialism is that it starts from the objective, and takes as the ultimate ground of explanation something objective, whether it be matter in the abstract, simply as it is thought, or after it has taken form, is empirically given - that is to say, is substance, the chemical element with its primary relations. Some such thing it takes, as existing absolutely and in itself, in order that it may evolve organic nature and finally the knowing subject from it, and explain them adequately by means of it; whereas in truth all that is objective is already determined as such in manifold ways by the knowing subject through its forms of knowing, and presupposes them; and consequently it entirely disappears if we think the subject away. Thus materialism is the attempt to explain what is immediately given us by what is given us indirectly.”

why do people care about old philosophers in general? Especially marx. The guy lived in an entirely different reality then ours and the ideas are outdated. Really what do you need other then aristotle and the bible? If I want to learn natural science I'd just read newton who already solved things. If I want to read old literature I'd rather read classics of that era instead of santa claus textbooks the economic mormon/jehova witnesses have to annoy us with. Why don't marxists just walk around with das kapital and wear mormon outfits and ring doorbells at this point?

If naive realism was true then we'd have no need for science.

Most people don't read to change their minds.
They read to confirm their own bias.

Because Das Kapital was the same in 1867 and now. It's the same mode of production based on the same social relationship: wage labor. And the same way to extract Capital. And the same internal contradictions.

Actually it does. Anwar Shaik proved it.
It's a shame that you don't see that marx was right, before the Capital final collapse. Then it will be obvious.

>Words, words, words
Holy shit. Can western philosophers shut the fuck up?
>Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart.
>Don’t do what should not be done, and don’t desire what should not be desired.
>Stop thinking, and end your problems.
