I read multiple books in tandem. I will read from 3 or 4 books at different blocs of time, and keep my place in each of them.
I've done this for a while.
Is there a name for this? Will I not absorb as much from each book doing this?
This is probably not an IQ thing but a way to manage ADHD while still making progress. I'd like to start keeping journals for books too. Is this a lot to manage?

really just depends on your memory
i cycle through books based on my desire and interest, which often comes in waves.
I read the book until it no longer interests me, then pick it up when the mood strikes me again. I can usually remember where I left off.

Nero Wolfe, the fictional detective, was famous for doing this. He would then start dog-earing the ones that didn't measure up.

Man, if I had this thing (book wheel), I'd probably break it and get in trouble with my financiers who would insist on harvesting my organs as repayment for the damages. At least we can see that his door is securely locked to the outside, for now.

I do this also when books are referencing something else if I have the text I will read that part.

this looks overengineered. why would it need any gears at all? one could simply allow each individual book-stand to rotate freely and have each be hung so that their center of mass is below where they attach to wheels.
