It had enough episodes. There were like 5 episodes here that could have easily been compressed into 2 (like all that Hallelujah and Stratos 2 crap).
I don't know where that "not enough episodes" mentality comes from. nigga, whether they gave them 6, 12, 24, 52 or 112 episodes, they should have planned, escaled and paced the plot accordingly.
Even tho i really like season 2 (not more than the movie), Setsuna, Saji, Tieria and Marina were my favorites. It share some of the same problems as season 1

Now this is how I know you're trolling him. Marina actually got dumber in S2 even if that was a hard task already, and didn't fit with the overall theme and arc of S2 too well. Furthermore, the song thing was retarded not because of its naivete, but the execution. Watch those 3 eps again and come back, literally nobody's actions made any sense in that arc, or any of her actions after. Marina S2 is very frustrating to watch.

While I have grown more understanding of his perspective and arc in S2, it just dragged on too long. Even after the Kathalon accident it still took him way too long to actually reach an understanding of the situation. He went from "everyman not understanding the big picture" to just being fucking annoying. He should have gotten more than just a talking-to from Tieria and got a proper beating to get some sense into him then and there.

It semi-rushed and Bandai executives demanded certain rules for Season 2.

They said the Season 2 must have a masked man pilot as the enemy. There must be less focus on world politics and less political tones. The Gundam designs must be simplified (to make easier to make gunpla). And every episode must have some mecha action. Unlike a season 1 which had one episode of build up then the next episode would be full of action.

it was only to explain why she lived her entire life being raised by CB. mileina was also born to parents who worked for CB but since her parents never stirred up any shit, they didn't get terminated and mileina was able to have a regular personality being raised by loving parents instead of, I dunno, haro drones in a automated daycare.

I never liked the idea of Feldt being a pilot, doesn't really work for her to go from being a non-combatant to working for CB.

imo a better Idea would've been to use one of the Trinity siblings by forcing them to collaborate by wearing that bomb collar they make Fon Spark wear in 00F.
Nena would already be motivated by the chance to kill Ali. Maybe even have her redeem herself a bit. Her and Setsuna both have a past as terrorists, that could've been a neat parallel to draw on. He could've converted her from her heretic ways to true Gundamism.
