I've already seen some interest on /tg/, so I reckon it'd be smart to ask around here too. I'm working on a Gundam wargame that uses your HG and RG gunpla, unmodified, with posing as part of the mechanics. What are your thoughts on this idea, /m/?

Years ago on /tg/ there was a Gunpla based wargame ruleset that got threads, but I can't remember what they called it. A friend and I talked about trying it but never did. I think the scale is a problem, honestly.

I don't know...

Specifically 1/144, so HG and RG, basically LoS shooting except for a couple specific weapons, and with provisions for floorgaming in the rules if you want a bigger field. The posing works decently at well, the playtesters I have so far have given good feedback. I think the game you're talking about might've been Mobile Suit Skirmish.

Me and my frens are trying torework Mobile Suit Skirmish into something convention-presentable. We want to clean up the rules and remove the OG authors disgusting fetish with rolling sixes.
We are currently debating the damage system to use. I've been thinking about scanning outlines of gunpla, converting them to .svg and creating Battletech-style unit sheets.

Intriguing, but no further than posing for advantage (and cool photos).

What do you think of my roster?

The idea is that it's on an action point economy that resets every round, and you have a decent spread of things you can make a Mobile Suit do. Every action has associated posing requirements, such as having to point the muzzle to make a valid shooting attack.

Very nice. I'm more of a Zeon and Titans enthusiast, but Feddies aren't far behind.

There's 3 options out there I'm familar with, each one using a different scale of conflict. Mecha Bardagulan is designed around 1v1 type fights and uses very simple rules. Mobile Suit vanquish is for small teams of models fighting using 40k rules more or less. Mobile Suit Skirmish is the largest scale fighting I've seen for gunpla and includes rules for infantry and vehicles. What level of fighting is your game focused on?

There's someone working on a 30 Minutes Missions wargame, might be worth checking out.
