Idk, depends on if the writers want to respect the source material and then hoping they don't insert some cringe modern day subversive elementd like they always seem to do
Then you have to hope they can deliver decent action sequences
It's literally a rip off because they can't produce original ideas, should you even care in the first place, actors are subhuman parasites, studios are jewish brainwashing or worse leftist subversives, don't you have something better to do with your time and money???

Honest answer? Something like Pulitzer or Plot to Assassinate Gihren is your best bet if you don't have fuck you money to make a ton of CGI battles. Just make something that's mostly grounded with people and talking with 2-3 MS sequences at MOST so people don't feel like they get scammed

Lion's Gate 83 would at least have had Mead designs...
Other than that it's probably difficult in this day and age.
Just contemplating this new one:
>CGI/3D robots
Might as well watch an actual Gundam anime since that's what they use these days anyway. Unlikely to have good mechanical design. Not that we'll be seeing much of them.
>actors
Four nobodies and "can't act, has tits".
>plot
Just watch 08th MS Team
What a good live action Gundam from the West would look like is difficult to say. I don't think they would bother or be capable of handling large scale battles.
1v1/tournament style would be more doable, but selling Plamo-Sanshiro/Build Fighters is a difficult proposition. G Gundam is similarly obtuse due to the overarching wuxia narrative. Bare minimum the unique parts get stripped out and it turns into a Rocky-esque boxing story.
In a UC type of setting, the West could probably handle an small scale asymmetric conflict (bet this is why they picked 08th to lift from). Tank commander trying to prove there's still a place for tanks in a world of MS. Infantry getting mulched by a custom Zaku, lone survivor joining an anti-MS spec ops squad on a mission to take it down. Horror movie where one guy gets chased by a nightmarish Gundam. That kinda crap. Wouldn't necessarily be good, but that's what they could handle.

If I were the director he's my fanfiction
>set during the Gryps conflict after Dakar
>Titans are reshuffling rapidly, trying to get all their shit to space
>POV is from an Earthnoid grunt who gets sent to "clean up" the Newtype Labs
>finds the kids and is horrified, tries breaking them out in a GM
>insert several fight scenes here with Byarlants and Gaplants
>manages to escape and let the kids fuck off in the wild before getting surrounded
Now the question is, would it be better to have the guy die or get saved by blink-and-you-miss-it newtype hax

not that Japanese adaptations are any better
live action adaptations are near universally made by executives and soulless secondaries who don't give a shit about the property and are doing it purely as a cash grab off popularity

I have this vision of a boardroom drama/ political/ spy thriller type thing as a series starting in proper around UC 0040ish (Although maybe touching on earlier events like having the turn of the Universal Century terrorist attack from Unicorn as an opening scene), life of General Revil story covering the decline of the Federation and rise of Zeon and the Zabis from his perspective as a central protagonist character with it ending a bit after his escape and speech, from here you have your high budget mobile suit action movie that kinda follows the 0079 narrative with Amuro and the White Base but without the need to establish anything about the setting and broader context, so the movie itself would be the payoff of the series.

as someone who tries to write movies, Gundam could be adapted well. But you basically have to condense 0079 into one two hour movie which is a nightmare. Plausible if you focus on the big story beats and start somewhere in the middle, flashing back.Probably with them on earth already, on the way to Jaburo and ending after Encounters in Space

Apologize.
Seriously a 08th MS Team adaptation? That's literally just the Transformers 2007 movie.
