Seriously, what was the point of this crappy movie?
>clearly is under budget
>rushed as hell
>animation isn't good at all
>all the characters are either almost empty or unlikable
>the design aren't good for anything
Even as a light teaser for Unicorn-Two, it fails, and it probably won't be referenced more than a sentence at best when it happens, because it was a box office bomb (unlike Unicorn).

Why are you trying to split hairs between Unicorn and NT? They literally have the same writer for both animes. They are the same thing. You literally have a Unicorn Gundam right on the movie poster. Gundam NT ***IS*** Unicorn. There's no difference.

...also everything a writer can make is always the same quality as everything else they've ever made.

All this tells us is that you made this thread to hate on Gundam NT and praise Unicorn. But then anons pointed out the same writer wrote both stories. So you freaked out and had to run to Wikipedia to check.
So now you are desperately trying to come up with some weird new argument.
It's not working.

#1 not OP (doesn't matter either way now, I'm batting for his position anyway)
#2 So what if I went to wikipedia to check for sure that you're a stupid fuck? Your argument that the Unicorn and Narrative anime are the same because they had the same writer for source material is ridiculous on it's face. It's perfectly reasonable to have a different opinion of different parts of the same creator's output even if there weren't major differences in adaptation's production.
Fuck man, the different formats of the Unicorn anime itself are not 'the same' as each other despite being the same story and animation.

What difference does it make? Both Unicorn and NT had terrible stories. What is your point? That Unicorn's writing was 0.12% better than NT's writing? Don't make us laugh anon. Both were awful. There's no dramatic difference between the two anime besides different animation teams. Both had magic Gundams shooting beam energy and creating energy barriers and using telekinesis.

I agree that different directors can slightly alter the presentation of the anime. Tomino would direct scenes different than the guy who made Gundam Seed. But I think the story is ultimately what's the most important. I never really found the Unicorn story particularly impressive. Although Gundam NT probably should have been a multi episode OVA, and not a short movie. It would have been slightly better to develop the characters.

One of the details I liked about Narrative is that they brought back these in-the-cockpit cuts that you used to see all the time in Tomino shows and movies. I don't think any other UC work has done it since Victory.

Agreed. I like them.
Although some directors think it's too comicbooky and not cinematic. So they don't use them. Like Hathaway's Flash movies don't use it. The movie always uses hard cuts to the cockpit view.

Unicorn and Jesta kit sales were falling and needed a bump, plus Unicorn was extremely popular in nippon land so why not throw a bit more of that slop in the through for them.

>Jesta kit sales were falling and needed a bump
That's because they changed the story. In the original novel, the Jesta had a ton of action scenes along side Unicorn. Especially during the Battle of Torrington. The Jestas fight off the Neo Zeon remnants AND fight alongside Unicorn against the Shamblo mobile armor. But for whatever stupid reason, Bandai gave all of Jestas' battle scenes to the Byarlant. This suit never existed in the novel. Bandai also didn't allow the Jestas to fight the Shamblo like in the novel. I have no idea why. So what does the Jesta have left? Just shooting an old ass Zaku sniper and just floating around doing nothing. No wonder sales suck.
Another major complaint is the anime decided to split up the Neo Zeon troops into smaller groups during the attack. That didn't happen in the novel. Neo Zeon attacked in one large group and overwhelmed the Federation. In the novel, Neo Zeon almost nearly won. But the anime made Neo Zeon look pathetic by having the Shamblo attack from a different direction. Why? I don't know. None of these changes Bandai did made sense. They should Just follow the novel.

I swear that idiots like you can't even read. The conversation and original context was about Unicorn Gundam not using those cuts. You were in such a rush to post screenshots that you didn't even read the post properly. Post Unicorn using them or hush up!

What anime took place before Gundam Narrative? Think carefully. Don't overheat your brain.
>>
>>23815676
NTA but this entire thread has been an argument with one anon trying to say that Unicorn is separate from NT. While others are laughing at that idea because the same writer wrote both stories. Then we got into debating what differentiates the two anime. With one anon pointing out how NT brought back certain cutaways and visual edits that Tomino used to do in older gundam anime. A visual edit that Unicorn refused to use.

>>23815712
Read very slowly the part where an anon requested examples of a style from 0079, Zeta and CCA. Now consider that people responding with screenshots from 0079, Zeta and CCA may have been granting that request.

now that I think about it has anything done his "random animals notice and react to the events" thing?
either the subtle ones or the cartoon snake's eyes bugging out or whatever it was

I think maybe some AUs like G-Gundam did it. But it slowly faded away. These new Gundams take themselves very seriously!
>no this is serious drama business. No fun fanserbice allowed
Hathaway's Flash is extremely dark and serious.
