What's next for the Build shows?
>fighter : big success
>Fighter try : moderate success
>Diver : moderate success
>Diver Rise : Moderate success but released at a bad time
>Breaker : under-perform
>Meta : terrible
What should they do? Another show in one of the previous universes? Another show fusing all the universes? A new show in a completely new universe (if so, what should be the twist that change things?)?

Everyone uses Gundam girl models instead of robot models. Then our MC brings in a custom sculpt 1/144 Paptimus Scirocco and he starts raping everyone with his bullshit newtype seduction skills.

Assuming that Build Metaverse didn't completely torpedo the Build series overall, I figure that after Re:RISE upped the craziness factor to "VRMMO but oops the battles are real now and also there's a planet of furries waging war with an evil AI" you kind of have to go back to basics in terms of overall scope, so i figure the next one will have a similar setup to Build Fighters where people actually fight with their Gunpla via magic plot particles or some other method of animating their Gunpla.

Go back to the series roots. No more VR. No more holograms. Just raw, animated plastic on plastic violence. I know they probably dropped it because bandai execs got scared of nastygrams from parents because their kid broke their toys but honestly fuckem. It needs to happen.

This would sell, people won't agree with you and bandai would never do it. But it would sell.

>fighter : big success
>Fighter try : moderate success
- Fighter was VERY big success worldwide. A massive surprise that shocked Bandai.
So they rushed Season 2 (Try) into production. The Season 1 staff asked for more time to prep for season 2. Bandai said no, fired the old staffx and hired new inexperienced staff and directors.
- Try was a disappointing moderate success. They expected more. Hugr drop in quality and storytelling. Team "Tryon 3" should have bene the main characters.
>Diver : moderate success
Bottom of "moderate-tier". Lower than Try. Almost slipping into low tier.
>Diver Rise : Moderate success but released at a bad time
Not moderate. Top of "low-tier".
>>Breaker : under-perform
Badly underperformed
>>Meta : terrible
Extremely awful.

They didn't drop plastic battles because of any complaints (there were none). The new Director they hired in Season 2, Shinya Watada, was obsessed with MMO anime and VR technology. He worked on Sword Art Online, and said in interviews he wants to explore emotions and growth through digital worlds and digital games.
So Bandai just agreed and let him do what he wanted.

You're right. Policing something so trivial would be foolish.

plamo kyoshiro gets teleported to modern day times after his fight with the master computer brain at the end of the series and freaks out over how far kits have developed but shows that there's still merit in doing things the old way

This would have been the Renatos if they had been in Try. A tactical military ops squad while everyone else is playing hero. But then they could pioneer it and spin it off as its own variant of gunpla battles.

Back to basics and sports shounen formula
They need to remember that it's about gunpla and the people building them, their passion for the hobby, not about people who happen to pilot gunpla in games
Throw in some cute girls and big titty milfs too for good measure

Exactly.
And another thing. Can we stop having main characters that are super awesome at building gunpla from the start? We should have series where characters slowly learn and grow. Like the character just quickly snap fits a gunpla together. Gets his ass beat by someone better in the simulator. Then the main character learns how to properly sand gunpla pieces to make them fit more seamlessly. Then his gunpla gets a boost in the simulator.
I'm tired of almost every single character in the show being a super ace gunpla builder. That leaves no room for growth. The writers then have to come up with zany and wacky storylines like VR and world ending viruses. I swear. Sometimes it feels like I'm watching Digimon. Not Gundam.

>Then they can't start with a super special Gundam to be marketed as the main Gundam
Didn't build fighter season 1 have an inferior starting Gundam? The MC started with a Wing Gundam that got trashed. Then he switched to a custom Strike Gundam. It got smacked around a lot, but still the custom strike Gundam still won matches.

Gundam Build Solar System. Contestants are sorted into four factions (Super Federation {all of Earth plus the Orbital Elevators, Luna II, Gate of Zedan, and Konpei Island}, Super Colonies {Sides, AC colonies, PLANTs and the Moon}, Super Mars {Mars, Asteroid Belt, and Axis} and Super Interior {Mercury and Venus}). We can sort some other various space weapons and systems around for balance. Overall goal is to reduce the enemy contestant numbers down to 0 while annexing pieces of their territory (i.e. the colonies challenging the Federation to take the Gate of Zedan, winning, and Zedan's name reverts to A Baoa Qu on the game map). The winning faction members receive a prize (survivors get better prizes but even eliminated contestants of the winning faction will receive a prize). Then the survivors engage in a battle royale for the grand prize.
Four friends get separated into the different factions and decide to try to form their own breakaway group/Three Ships Alliance type. We get a four man band, we can get Gundam duels between friends, we can appeal to Zeonfags, we can get G-Reco reduxs and we can finally justify Oldsmobile Army kits.
