I think it's a very rounded show. The slower pacing of the first 11 or so chapters fits strangely well with how Kazuki is acting and how it changes when he comes back with Sein is oddly fitting. I also really like how the kids that get to the final arc all have their own arc and conflict.

>Kenji wishing to run away but having to protect what you care
It's well done and by the final act, i was really concerned that any of them wouldn't come back.
Again, i think the ending is really really rewarding. Almost makes me wish we didn't got the sequels, if only because i really like how Dead Aggressr ends.
Still, there's a certain simplicity to it that makes me like a lot, more so than the sequels.

I think exodus is as a whole 'better' than DA but my biggest gripe is the end. While DA wraps up every storyline in a satisfying way. Exodus is running through them all because it has so much shit going on in the final episodes. The last episode being 40 or so would have helped it. But i don't dislike it, again, it's stronger in most regards. I think a worthy 9/10.
As for the beyond, i'm currently watching it, and i like it a lot. But my biggest concern is that it's only 12 episodes long and that won't be enough, specially since it seems to be the grand climax and ending of the series.
i miss canon, that episode wasn't fair, man

I've seen a good amount of them but this was the only show where Hiraiface actually did cause me problems with character differentiation. Mostly with the first gen male kids aside from the main two (despite the fact that one wore a mask and one died(ish)) and then it came back a bit with 2 or 3 of the 2nd gen girls
And yes Canon the best, or at least tied with Mama Toomi. Canon just consistently got better while Toomi basically vanished from the show once her tech advancements were no longer needed because all the suits became self propagating magic bullshit

I get what you're saying, when I watched Exodus I couldn't even remember who 9/10 of the characters were from the previous show.

They need to be given very distinct clothing and it can't change. The only ones from gen 1 males are the mc, the the long haired guy, the Ryusei insert, Koyo, and the gooner (who I only remember because of his voice actor)
