I know for a fact some other boorus operate this way (danbooru, gelbooru, r34), where you're encouraged to promote and perfectly credit and link artists, but the artist themselves posting their own stuff is not really allowed, friends of mine have been taken down from such platforms for not remaining anonymous, but none of them draw ponies, so they have no clue how derpibooru functions and I don't know either

The derpibooru exclusive tag existing tells me artists r allowed to post their own stuff, otherwise how would it be exclusive, but just in case I wanted to ask

you can definitely post your own stuff, derpi seems to double as a platform for artists. Actually crazy to hear that other boorus don't allow this, our fandom has such good infrastructure for creatives

Yeah it was crazy to hear myself how you can get essentially shadow/banned from dan/gel for posting ur own stuff, its so dumb!! I get that it's more authentic to have fans of art select good drawings to post the best ones instead of having any schmuck post their random things,,, but I'm some shmuck and I wanna post my random things, I think they look pretty good I want ppl to see them!!
