I've only seen the movie and I liked it okay. I don't gush over it the way some do. It was nice to see a feature-length adventure movie, the voice acting was lovely, and it had its moments of heart and humor.
But I really don't care for the smartphones and modernization thing, and I really can't see it connected to G4 like it was intended to be. Some jokes fell flat. Some of the musical numbers were just eh. It's been a while since I've seen it but I seem to recall pacing was too fast in some spots and too slow in others (I don't think I liked the Bridlewood part of the film).
