I started a small painting of Sunset today as a gift for somebody, thought I'd share with you guys. Have a long ways to go before she's done but here's what I've got so far.

In regards to Twilight/Sunset's age there's something I like to bring up and that's a reminder that ponies mature, both physically and mentally, different from people.
Faust herself imagined the Mane 6 as being in the 12-17 age range, despite all of them being completely functional independent adults, and that age range also fits with the teenagers you see in EqG.
So, hypothetically, Twilight could be 16 in both universes but the difference is that's considered a mature adult in Equestria but still an adolescent in human world. By extension, Sunset could only be like 2-3 years older than her, but that age gap means a lot more in horse years than it does in human years.
Reminder this is all speculative autism and I doubt this much thought went into ages of either show but the logic tracks

Funny, I just saw this not too long ago for the first time as well. I have avoided watching the last episode for all these years, and I ended up watching it halfway through a month or so ago because someone in my family had it on the TV.
