honestly picrel. I never owned one, though

funniest thing is it actually is a top 5 all time guitar pedal and no amount of cancelling him can change that, you can even see the look in pedalfags faces when they make their obligatory 'yikes' jokes, JHS and other pedal influencers know damn well it's a better drive than any tube screamer or boutique thing
>>
Remember SDD-320?
He's back, in pedal form.
>>
You shouldn't be using pedals. They're a crutch for people who want to mask bad playing with weird sounds
>>
>>129987658
i spent a lot of money on a pedalboard to realize i prefer clean sound. plus my playing is too busy, so it just sounds muddy with effects. pedal are best for minimalistic playing, power chords, ambient stuff etc
>>
>>129989358
You have a valid point. Pedals/effects have a place, though.
>>
>>129988344
you just want that because of buckethead

I have no idea what drama you're talking about, it's just my favorite pedal that I've had since my high school days circa 2004.
It definitely has the best treatment to the mids; I'm not a fan of tube screamers, blues drivers, whatever else. The Peavy 5150 amp comes close... but that's an amp and not a pedal.

>In June 2020, Fulltone Musical Products founder Mike Fuller faced intense backlash and boycotts following "insensitive" Facebook posts criticizing Black Lives Matter protesters and property destruction. The controversy led to retailer drops, including She Shreds Media reporting Guitar Center removing their products, and Reverb banning new Fulltone sales, leading to a temporary company shutdown.

>Artists (including Mark Hoppus from Blink 182) publicly boycotted the brand.
A thoroughly braindead and demonic era.

Heres what the be-Natzi Fuller said
>"What is this like night 4 of looting with 100% impunity. The pussy Mayor and Governor dont give a shit about snall businesses, and its never been more clear
Clearly the words of someone that needs his business taken from him. Hes dangerous for society, a faschist, you might say.

This makes me laff because I bought my Big Muff Pi like 20 years ago because it was the cheapest fuzz at my local guitar center (I think it was like $35-45)

The pots on mine are totally fucked however. I'm sure it could be fixed but I don't care enough to.

I had this as a teenager and it quit working on me. I had stolen the phone jacks from it for other purposes. Never occurred to me that it could be repaired, I ended up throwing it away. Of course it wasn't 300 dollars it was like 80 bucks and I got it for christmas as a teenager (hey mom can you get me a big muff for christmas)

came to post the smallsound/bigsound Mini as my fave pedal ever, its an equally great boost/od/fuzz.
SSBS was a small hipster company whose pedals had a lot of buzz around the late 10's, the dude moved to minneapolis and set up a small factory shop in early 2020, when george floyd died he made a post supporting the protests and pledging to donate a portion of profits to BLM charities, a few days later the rioters looted/burned down his ship, whoops, think he gave it up soon after

I spent a little extra to get a long chip from Japan on ebay and it was very worth it. I love the crunchiness/slushiness of the primitive digital tech and the fucked up noisy scifi sounds you can get with knob abuse. Great pedal. I wish I had two one for guitar and the other for tape loops/vocals out of my cassette multitrack.

>>129987693
What I would do for one of these man but I am total poorfag. Is it worth the money?

>>129987716
What's the deal with this one? I was wanting to get one of their boss-type digital delays so I could but they've gone out of production so now they cost as much as a Boss anyway. Looking on google now and that EM600 also seems to cost as much as a boss, is there any point getting one over a boss?
>>
>>129996885
>spent a little extra to get a long chip from Japan
Based. I got two broken long chips in the patio sitting there for years and the other day pulled my shit together and got one running. Its really good, my fave delay atm. Modded it to reach insane slow delay thats super crunchy, 100% recc.
>Is it worth the money?
Id say yes. Got a couple for super cheap, its an amazing big sound, analog but super clear too (if well calibrated), its the sweet spot really.
>is there any point getting one over a boss?
Ive got the EM600 and like it a lot. Its got multimode delays with dedicated mod knob, tape and BBD echo emulation too that are pretty good. Goes wild too. Boss pedals are kinda too well behaved at times.
>>
>>129996992
>Boss pedals are kinda too well behaved at times
I would agree from experience. Any other boss DD I've tried that isn't a long chip DD-3 really disappointed me. So far the DD-3 long chip is the only delay pedal that actualyl sounds any good when I use it with my multitrack running as a tape loop multi channel drone station with vocals and keys and looped sounds all running at once

Does the tape/bbd emulation on the EM600 include pitch shifting with delay time?
>>
>>129997029
>pitch shifting with delay time
Yeah, the mod knob does that, but in each mode it does it differently, in tape it does warble, in digi its like chorus, in bbd vibrato
>>
>>129997097
Hm sounds breddy gud. I'll keep an eye out for a good used deal then. Thanks for the tip
