I like theater kid music

sometimes some theater kid shit is needed after years of rock bands in blue jeans and t shirts.

every now and then you need a bowie or my chemical romance to liven things up around here

Ghost did it well with their debut.

Ghost are the worst thing to happen to metal music in the past few decades
It makes much it hurt when much more talented musicians like Brent Hinds passed away last year
Ghost are for the biggest poseurs that make any 'scene' the way it is; social media and narcissism based instead of places for free expression like how it used to be before Ghost let those soft ass wanna be hard ass post neo marxist white leftie women who think calling themselves athiest and supporting abortion is sooooo revolutionary and punk rock

Well yeah, pop dressed up as metal is the worst thing ever.
I still say that Opus Eponymous is a really solid album and their live shows were really cool when they leaned hard into the satanic larp

Wow you really went off the rails there buddy

Usually no.
I don't mind Ice Nine Kills though even though I hate both gimmicks and metalcore.
The only metalcore album I consider above a 6/10 is Waking the Fallen so I guess I like Ice Nine Kills because they're also melodic.

Trivium is the only other metalcore band that's scratched the same itch as early A7X for me
