I think it is actually hilarious that even if you don't know they are jewish, you can still literally HEAR the jewishness in the music. From the meaningless abstract, pretentious, postmodern lyrics, to the fact that they can't sing and their music is nowhere near as good as jew critics claim it is.

Only 50% jew.
Mischlings don't count.

Sorry you got filtered. SD is sex-haver music, so you will probably never understand it. Shame but there you have it.

aside from Don (admittedly the strongest presence in the group) very few of the other band members or collaborators were Jewish. Whites, blacks and latinos all made major contributions, it was a genuinely diverse project.

>The song's guitar solo was attempted by seven top studio session guitarists—including Robben Ford and recurring guitarist Larry Carlton—before Jay Graydon's version became the "keeper".[9] He worked on the song for about six hours before the band was satisfied.[10]

>We’d be remiss if we didn’t include this anecdote about seasoned studio engineer Lenise Bent, who worked with the band during their Aja sessions. It was the recording of the song “Home at Last” that brought her to a breaking point, due to Fagen and Becker’s insistence on getting two words, two syllables, absolutely perfect. As remembered by Dick LaPalm, Bent’s friend and publicist extraordinaire:
>‘Dick, I have to talk to you.’ She put her head down on the desk in her arms and said, ‘Well-the, well-the, well-the.’ I said, ‘What are you doing?’ Lenise looked up and said, ‘Dick, I have to get off the Aja session. They worked on the words ‘well the’ for six hours last night. All they did was work those two words for just the right sound for hours. I really have to get off the session.’
You misspelled "kino" by the way

Far from it
Jazz, at its essence, is all about improvisation, live perfomance and natural, free flowing interaction between highly skilled musicians.
It's everything Steely Dan aren't but wish to be. Their whole career has been making boring and pretentious pop shit in the studio with "jazzy" influence (instructed to be played by other people) that means nothing to no one. They are hacks for the ages.
