I imagine there'll be a lot of incoming screech n cope from the /pol/ tourist MAGA trash because it's an anti-war song, but it's a brilliant track.

you kinda got me thinking: 60 years ago for vietnam, the young boomers were almost exclusively anti-war because they were drafted and you had to be fairly well-off to get an exemption. so there was very real consternation along age/class lines. i really wish the draft would get reinstated for this iran war so we could see all these rightoids put their money where their mouth is and serve their country despite ostensibly being anti-war only a couple years before.

Political music is cringe no matter the ideology, but Tom Waits getting political is especially cringe if this is true. This would effectively be the first time he breaks the "Tom Waits persona" and singing about something else besides junkyards and two dollar whores.

iran lost, get over it

violence is reasonable in certain scenarios (stopping a radical islamic terrorist regime from getting a nuke for example). seething bloodlust for its own sake because you are mad that your politics were rejected is, however, not one of those scenarios. hope this helps.

we killed their supreme leader in the first day and put the fear in the heart of whoever takes over. they are never going to have a nuke and never going to be able to cut off global shipping again. iran lost, cry about it if you must.
