Febder >Poor? Here's a shitplank made in indonesia strat that's worse than a squier classic vibe but at 620$ >Got some cash? Here's something made by drunk mexicans that has at least one dead pickup and terrible fret ends for 750$ >Wanting to move up? Here's a slightly fancier mexican guitar that still has finish and fret issues but we call it "vintera" so it's fancy >Oh you're a serious musician? Here's a "pro" guitar made by drunk mexicans but IN THE U.S and even though we're charging you $1400 it still has a cheap polyester finish and an unbalanced tremelo bar >Finally moving up big boy? Enjoy... the American Deluxe! You finally get nitro and it's practically the same guitar as the first one but with the special NITRO FINISH and some noiseless pickups that sound like horse-ass... by the way FUCK YOU, 1800$ please >Mr. Dentist, Sir, you will LOVE our custom shop 60s strat handwired by a drunk mexican we call a master builder! Just ignore the fact they're pulling off-the-shelf parts and blanks and putting them together like legos with woodscrews, you HAVE to spend 5,500$ to get this quality! We even had josé drag it across the parking lot so it's aged!
Gibson >Cheap? Buy an epiphone, 650$, they play great and have clones of our PAFs >Cheap but decent? Here's a les paul tribute, the least we could get away with but you get nitro and burst buckers, 1100$ >Got some money? Take a pick from any of our les paul studios starting at 1400$ or our studio sessions with extra pizazz flame tops for 1,800$ >Been saving up? Here's a Les Paul standard/classic/traditional, everything this guitar has been since the 50s with all the accoutrements and handcrafted details you'd expect, that'll be 3200$ and no more >Mr. DoctorLawyerDentist sir, let me show you our custom shop! All expertly tailored by hand with hand-finishing and dressed frets and excruciating attention to detail. This fine guitar can be yours for only 5200$
Are Fender players the most cucked consoomers alive?
>>130566108 I paid $400 for my mexi strat in 2012 and yeah the frets aren't rolled but I don't have little girl hands and if it really really really bothers you its a 30 minute job that any monkey can do
>>130566154 That's whack as fuck but doesn't squier paranormal have 5 different HH guitars?
>>130566155 Yeah but a made in indonesia squier CV beats the piss out of it minus the pickups with much better fit and finish considering they're both poly-encrusted planks. Hell, three of the chinese CNC brands make strats that beat the piss out of MiM strats at less than half the price with ball-end SS frets.
>>130566175 Squier necks are thin pieces of shit, squier hardware is cheap chinesium, you're smoking some strong crack I have a squier as well and the mexi beats it in every category except weight because again its a thin piece of shit
want to get into bass, first time posting in /mu/, what are my options? squier precision good or nah? i dont want to overinvest and i heard that its better to invest on a nice amp rathe tthan the bass itself for beginners. budget under 500
>>130566524 Firefly does everything in drops, if it's not on the store or their ebay, you'll have to check the used market or wait 6-9 months for those to roll back in.
>>130566575 Is the big sky as good as the cloudburst? The cloudburst is phenomenal but it's 10 years newer than the big sky iirc.
>>130566804 What kind of broken goyslave thinks in terms of stainless steel watches made by mountian niggers. Go buy a les paul custom like the rest of us and use the rest of the money to fight your child support payments.
>>130566575 yeah imo, as a bedroom player, it's missing a mood and a looper especially a looper, it's like the third most useful pedal after tuner and overdrive, for bedroom
>>130566025 Not a guitar player, but I recommend playing along with the vocal parts of songs instead of the guitar parts. Sounds easy, but it's incredibly hard to pull off well.
>>130559020 Cool, I liked the weird chord changes in the middle and by the end. What chords are those, G something? Also is that a baritone or drop tuned, t there's a really low note beneath those 2 weird change chords https://voca.ro/16Agkz8ItygW
I have 2 telecasters. I like to go outside with one in each hand, holding it on the neck up by the headstock. I start to spin with my arms out and the weight of the bodies pulls the telecasters up so they are parellel with the ground. centripetal force. I move as fast as i can down the street but it's hard because i'm spinning. every black person unfortunate enoguh to be in my path gets hurt because they get bludgeoned by a quick moving, solid wood electric guitar body
>>130567661 They don't make em no mo know why? Cause they suck they still make counterfeit strats know why? cause even a shitty strat is better than most guitars
>>130567728 >get my old Windows 7 pc up and running on Saturday >spend a few hours trying to install fitgirl repack on it >constant errors >give up and go on steam >steam still works on windows 7 wtf gabe lied >install Rocksmith there >copy and paste all my DLC over from old comp >it all just werks >set computer up in shed, Radial Bigshot AB/Y going into PC with realtone cable and Marshall amp, have PC hooked up to old stereo system >spend a few hours playing songs at full volume, this is fucking sweet >go to play it last night >windows gives me a black screen after logging in, some Visual C++ runtime error >spend the rest of my weekend trying to fix it to no avail It was fun while it lasted, I got a 680 note streak 98% accuracy first time playing bass on 1979
>>130567799 >PC with realtone cable and Marshall amp I just realized yesterday that you can put your realtone into an amp and then your guitar into the amp for better sound
>>130567801 Nicotine and caffeine as a combo preguitar probably a year or almost two I've been on and off the former (on again) and was only occassional on the caffeine years back but recently it's been a cup a day Needa taper off both so their stimulating effects work again
>>130567810 It was more errors when trying to install, gave up after a couple of hours and was surprised I could just download it on steam.
>>130567820 I mean the other side of the Bigshot going into the amp, If a song has heavy effects I would turn the amp side off and just play through rocksmith on the stereo
>>130567841 >It was more errors when trying to install, gave up after a couple of hours and was surprised I could just download it on steam. IKR, I'm saying you can copy those files from fitgirl folder into your steam folder to get 1563 original songs for free
>>130567932 At home playing along to jazz records on YT. Wish I had a teacher but I think most of the skilled ones are 2 hours away in the city blyat Didn't realize vocaroo cut it off, probably the wav file was too large Here's the rest of the shitty improv as it fades to the end if you found it entertaining https://voca.ro/1jyvAPFUDbPC
>>130568199 Nice. It's cool, quite catchy and very loopable. Could serve well as vidya OST imo, trigger the more dense and intense latter parts of the track when the gameplay becomes more involved
>>130568238 thanks a bunch brother! some ppl told me it has OST vibes too, i'm considering maybe adding some vocals but i absolutely suck at vocals so who knows. at least i really like the instrumental too
https://youtu.be/bnhmq_YNzxc I'm getting a BOSS Poly Shifter today. might make a dumb unboxing video idk. If i do I wont post it tho, only posting guitar vids

Anyone seen any of these Powers Electrics yet? On paper I really like their specs and they’re built by one of Taylor’s master builders but they’re also like $4k.
>>130570393 Nice Now in theory I want to like 175s but they're so bulky. Acoustic arch-tops have "wow" factor and don't have the electronics so they get a pass, but I'd rather a 335 or even just a les paul for powered moosics tbf.
So guys, I got a question, if I'm running one output of a zoom ms70cdr+ into the fx loop of one amp and the other output to the preamp of another amp, there should be a small delay between any stereo effects because one has to run through the pre amp? When I tried it Thursday, I honestly didn't perceive any delay between channels nor tone sucking.
>>130569996 Literally anyone who isn't Fender and builds anything vaguely Fender shaped. God, I hate Fender guitars and 95% of people who play them. I have never met anyone who isn't an insecure, self-absorbed boomer or someone who wants to be one play a Fender. Gibson players are either Slash fans, early Swedish death metal bros or rich dentists. Fender? Cancer patients.
>>130570790 You should learn his catalogue of songs. That would give you insight to his chops and songwriting. Now wether if you'll ever write songs that sounds like his, that's practically possible if you nail his cliches and idiosyncrasies.
I don't usually repost YTer videos, but I think this one says what I've been thinking for a long time: There is a reason some builders take 2+ years to build you a custom made instrument AND they cost $5000+. Is the demand that high? A: No, the supply is artificially low. This is the strategy to justify the price of a $800-$1500 import model. Lots of buyers get fixated on the flagship model prices, then individual buyers start negotiating with their wallets on the lineup... when in reality they should be questioning who pays $4000-5000+ on a flagship model What should I do instead? A: Think of smaller builders who are invested in only selling you high quality instruments. You may or may not like Know Your Gear YT channel (and sometimes I think his videos are clickbaity)... but I think this one he got right in the bullseye
>>130571555 Tele with light pine body but thick roasted maple neck and a quarter pounder bridge pickup and firebird neck pickup with optional coil split. All this through a fender mustang LTS25 of course.

so the more I have fucked around with this amp, I've realized it's honestly not that bad and after messing around with, It reminds me of an Orange amp. It pairs okay with the Peavey Express I got. I think my experience over the last few months has helped me be able to find tones I like in budget equipment.
rocksmith tracking ain't the most reliable. if you're gettin 95-97% you basically know the song perfectly. Unless you're pointing in the other direction with the tracking, where you're blatantly fucking up and it's registering good hits anyway, then you might want to make the conscious decision to tighten it up.

Not pictured: Soran Tiny Stomp Modeling Pedal https://www.amazon.com/SORAN-JME-03A-Effects-Presets-Rechargeable/dp/B0GKFJPM83 Didn't know this but apparently everyone makes a version of this with this exact same looking firmware, shit is amazing for the price >Speaker Powerwerks PW50 Portable PA speaker, gets retard loud and despite being tuned morefor vocals/midrange shit works well with the bass too. I do have a vox bass amp but i don't really bother to bust it out often. i just plug the pedal into the pa and it does the rest. sounds great. i would like a better amp modeler though but i'm gonna get that for free in august.
"inversions" aren't real - you're just playing part of a chord with the root note being different >b-but that changes the harmony! No it doesn't. No one in a mix is going to notice you're not playing the same root note as the bass
