In my book, Country is specifically a White American genre. There are nuances to climate, land, culture that foreigners, and nonwhites do not understand about the music. Other cultures can enjoy the music but they can't create it. One exception is Neal Mccoy because he was deeply entrenched in the culture and isolated from all other people from his old culture. This doesn't happen anymore and is very rare .

"Country" was manufactured by radio and record execs. They would put on shows in poor white neighborhoods and hand out free beer. So I guess it is specifically for white Americans, in a way. I just wouldn't be so proud of it. Pic related is what they took from you (imagine i attached a pic of some hard rock act or something, i can't be bothered to actually do it)
