after a string of erratic shows -one reviewer claiming it was 'the worst show i've ever seen hands down' - Echo and The Bunnymen cancel their Philly show tonight with an announcement about Ian being in a road accident. The fans are not buying it: 'There was no car accident. it does seem convenient cover for cancelling a gig because someone is too pissed to perform. If anyone finds an accident report I’d be stunned.'

They have a bunch of good songs but were probably the biggest drunks/drug addicts of their peers and that's saying a lot. I'm pressing X to doubt as well.

I saw them live in 2012 and 2016 too. They were both
good shows for a band 30 years into their career with breakups, and all. I bet they wanted $100-$150 for GA tickets this time around but couldn’t sell any. Post-Covid life and money printing has fucked the globe. Thanks trump!

Pic related is the lead singers’ solo album and it mogs echo and the bunnymen.

pretty much. they had the style, the attitude, the sound, but couldn't write a tune to save their lives.
