A man was arrested on suspicion of the brutal murder of a 51-year-old woman outside of a Fort Myers convenience store.
Rolbert Joachin, 40, was arrested by the Fort Myers Police Department on Thursday afternoon, April 2, after being on the loose for approximately 6 hours.
Joachin, who is homeless, is suspected of publicly bludgeoning a store clerk outside the D & D convenience store at 3500 Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and fleeing the scene.
Surveillance footage that has circulated across social media captures the early-morning murder and the moments leading up to it.
The video depicts the suspect repeatedly bashing a vehicle outside the store, prompting the clerk to exit the store and confront him, sometime before 8 a.m.
Upon her coming out of the store, the suspect walks up to the woman and bashes her head with what is suspected to be a hammer. The victim immediately fell onto the ground, and the man continues to bludgeon her face and head.
He then walks away.
The woman was found dead at the scene. Authorities were searching for the suspect for several hours and warned the community to avoid him, as he was suspected to be armed and dangerous.

I know a woman who was stabbed by a crazy person in an unprovoked attack outside a supermarket. The crazy had something like 35 prior incidents of assault and wasn’t locked up because if she took her meds she was ok, so this day she didn’t take her meds and stabbed the lady I know through hand (defensive wound). The lady I know had been doing some martial arts classes for a few months and it might’ve saved her life.
The crazy should’ve either been locked up or had something like a personal carer or nurse who should’ve been making sure she took her meds.

Imagine someone from slavery days seeing this. Imagine a plantation owner and the public being told, this is your future. There'd be no question that they'd NEVER let these monkeys have one ounce of freedom. But nooooooo, people today just have to believe some abaurdiat fantasy that chimps can live like us.
If we'd never ended slavery that woman would still be alive. In fact, A LOT of people would still be alive. All that's happened by releasing these mutts from their chains is we've proven they are savage animals and to be in chains was perfect for them.
