A US judge has dismissed a case against the publisher of the Wall Street Journal over a story about ties the US president had to Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump sued the American newspaper and its owners including Rupert Murdoch in a Florida federal court last summer, asking for at least $10bn in damages.
The president claimed the newspaper defamed him in a 17 July report that said Trump's name was in a "birthday book" given to Epstein in 2003. In that message, the Journal reported, Trump included a drawing of a woman's body.
Trump's lawyer told CBS News that the president will refile the "powerhouse" suit.
US District Judge Darrin Gayles said Trump came "nowhere close" to showing the WSJ acted with actual malice.
The case was dismissed without prejudice, though Trump will be allowed to file a new, amended lawsuit by April 27.
Trump's lawyer said the president will "continue to hold accountable those who traffic in Fake News to mislead the American People".
The standard for "actual malice" in defamation cases is that defendants must prove that a public statement was both false, and that the news organization or individual who made the statement knew or should have known that it was false or acted in reckless disregard of its falsity.
In his ruling, Gayles said he had to dismiss the complaint because Trump had "not plausibly alleged that the Defendants published the Article with actual malice".
The WSJ, owned by Murdoch's company News Corp., published exclusively reporting over the summer tying Trump and Epstein together through the birthday book.
Shortly after Democratic lawmakers published an image of the birthday note on social media, ahead of the release of other documents related to Epstein.
The newspaper did not publish an image of the note at the time but the details of its written description matched the picture that was released by lawmakers.
Trump said the message was "a fake thing" and denied writing it.

>The WSJ, owned by Murdoch's company News Corp., published exclusively reporting over the summer tying Trump and Epstein together through the birthday book.
I'd like to see that reporting. As far as I know there was no authentication connecting Trump with the birthday book.
They don't have any post marked envelope from the Mar-A-Lago or any of Trump's other properties to add plausibility. The signature hasn't been authenticated.

Jesus christ this level of sunken cost defense of a pedo is pathetic. We've all seen the video evidence for years which corroborates how Epstein and Trump used to groom young girls.
>I'd like to see that reporting.
The report is freely available for anyone to read and has been for months. It isn't like they're hiding it. Now comes the part where you sea lion and pretend you don't know how to use google.

from trump’s own account he only banned epstein from mara lago in 2007, and the birthday thing was from 2003 so donald was probably there in person to write and sign it. Idk why anyone bothers to talk to migatards about this though since trump could announce on live tv he buttfucked your family members and you’d cheer

You've already seen it, it's been posted here dozens of times.

All we have are clips of it because NBC won't release the full tape, just like they also won't release the clips of Trump calling one of the black guys "nigger" while filming The Apprentice. I hate to agree with the guy who says the media is conservative biased but this is strong evidence for that argument.

So they have proof that Trump sent it, like a postmarked envelope, or some record in the postal system that there was a letter sent from Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein, from the Mar-A-Lago or one of those properties, to one of Epstein's properties

I asked ChatGPT about this. It said the footage comes from an episode of Faith Daniels show called "A Closer Look". That episode was supposed to be about how Trump was handling his divorce from Ivana and his new bachelor lifestyle. There is likely a much longer B-roll tape of Trump and Epstein dancing with the girls but NBC won't digitize it and release it, and nobody in the world seems to have recorded that Faith Daniels show on VHS tape and uploaded it to youtube (yet).

"We've all seen the video evidence for years which corroborates how Epstein and Trump used to groom young girls."
The video I was responding to was the video evidence that was supposed to corroborate how Epstein and Trump used to groom young girls

So how's that $10 billion lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal going for ya, Trumpy: especially after they called your bluff, and way before all your attempts to distract from the fact that WSJ were proven more than right after all.
And your need for said distractions not only make it blatantly obvious, but are admissions by you, that you were involved with vile pedophilic acts at Epstein Island. Otherwise you wouldn't have Fucked Around and Found Out so many times - especially with Iran recently - if you hadn't fucked little girls, you subhuman orange nonce.

their main goal in life is to start world war three so they can try to rape people during the confusion
they're too afraid to rape people in a functional society, which is why they look up to confident rapists like Trump

How is it moving the goal posts to ask what the punishment was?
Derek Chauvin is a convicted murderer. He was charged in the death of George Floyd, his sentence is 22.5 years for second degree murder.
Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison in June 2022 for conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors and for sex trafficking.
The length of the prison sentence provides context for how serious the offense was. The size of the fine, the length of the probation or prison sentence.

Gas needs to be lit in ovens prior to Nazis such as /pol/tards being thrown into such. Just being on a board that was reinstated by Epstein, they deserve cruel treatment.
They can always not be inferior subhuman Nazis, but as they are Nazis, they deserve cruelty for the crime of existing.

>The document in question was an email forward from Epstein to his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, from 2009, which was just after the late billionaire's 2008 conviction on charges of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute. The email exchange apparently recounted a conversation between lawyers for Epstein and Trump.
>"Epstein's lawyers synopsized and quoted Trump as saying that Jeffrey Epstein was not a member of his club at Mar-a-Lago, but he was a guest at Mar-a-Lago, and he had never been asked to leave,

Don't forget trump's new goon he installed to run his justice department just lied and said there are no more Epstein files to release.
And it gets even better, he's trying to get he sedition conviction of the right wing terror groups that took part in trump's failed coup thrown out too.
