Every time I’m in my car I end up driving like I’m in a F1 race. It’s like an addiction I can’t stop myself even though I tell myself I need to stop I can’t.

The most effective method is to make a mistake. Once you've cost yourself a great deal of trouble by way of trauma, be that financial trauma, medical trauma, or both if you're feel fruity, speeding on public roads quickly loses it's lustre.

Why stop as long as you’re doing it safely. The only downside is you’re going to be spending a lot of money on petrol I said this before in another thread I cannot understand the minds of men who never speed, everyday just driving at the speed limit and never over I can’t imagine how boring their lives are.

>3. you do a real track day
This works for around a week at best, then you end up craving speed more than ever until your next track day, like some sort of addict in relapse. In some ways it's even worse than regular speeding, because in theory you've probably learned just how far you can push your car thanks to all that track driving, and now you're shaving 10 seconds off your lap times around the local housing estate.

i have never driven the speed limit once in my entire life. my driving record is 4 pages long. i have lost my license multiple times and never stopped driving. i have paid over 6 figures to the state, courts, and my insurance company because of all of this. i will never stop driving fast, it is simply the price to pay to be a free man and i will continue to pay it until the day i die.

Never happens to me.
I can completely shut off track mode in my head when street driving.
Sure, 60mph feels like a crawl after you get used to 160mph on the straights.
But you can't be driving like a Jogger around town.
Y'all just lack discipline.

If you had a fast car (you don't) and could drive (you can't) and had white skin (you're brown) you'd understand casual speeding just above the limit isn't fun, the fun part is acceleration. You drive an automatic btw.

it's always safer to drive to the conditions and watch the road than to be looking at the side of the road for road signs that tell you how to drive.
who's driving your vehicle? you, or the guy who painted the signs? if all you're doing is reading roadside instructions on how to drive then you're a npc robotic passenger who isn't driving. the signs are driving your car. you're under their control because they are controlling how you operate your car. they are controlling you.

It just slowed me down for a while.
I think it's because of an hyperactive CNS

sounds like you get over-excited. try smoking a lot marijuana before every time you drive. it'll help you relax and be more calm.

What did it for me was the torque app with a bunch of info displayed, notably the fuel CCs per minute. My golf can go from 13cc per min at idle to over 400 at full boost. That's a litre every 2.5 minutes, in a four banger. But I like getting empeegees so that helps.

I've never felt this.
Public roads have curbs, trees, potholes, stop lights, people, cars, etc... Does not compare in the slightest to a manicured race track. It is clearly not even close to the same.

At 16 I had a game where I had to go 130+mph before going to school. I always did it, every day.
I've driven 175+ on the street. Used to hit at least 100mph every time I drive, even in town.
More than 20 years later I still drive like a maniac, though not as much.
I'm 37 and have redlined at least a dozen gears today. You either make it, die, get paralyzed or maimed, or end up in jail. The next powerslide could be my last.
Maybe get a wife and have children, that will absolutely slow you down.

I imagine that nonexistent onlookers may deem me a pussy if I, for instance and among other things, brake going into a turn or don't overtake a slower driver. I mentioned this to a coworker recently and he said I listened to the voices in my head too much and gave into my impulses. I hadn't thought of it like that and honestly it makes no difference.
I don't really take many risks outside of driving though. Age hasn't helped me either, but slow shitboxes mitigate it a bit.

Bring passengers.
I drive aggressive when there's no traffic and I'm solo. With passengers I wind my neck in. Doubly so if I have kids present.
I'd like to think I know the limits of my vehicle, if I fuck up, that's on me, but I have no intention of dragging anyone else down with me.

I speed a lot. I've been pulled over over eight times in the 14 years I've had my license. The problem is cops just keep letting me off with warnings. I have a spotless record. I'm always at least 10-20 over, when the road is clear or I find a speeding buddy I'll take it up to like 110 on the freeway. I don't speed in residential areas or areas where it doesn't add any fun to the drive though.

Cunts like you piss me off the most because you don't just kill yourself, you go turn some unsuspecting dude or family just going to work or driving home into fucking tomato paste
Then it's always the same shit in court
> HE A GOOD BOI YO HONOR he driving at mach fuck because he was feeling sad so he's the real victim here
Firefighter and para for 11 years... Very often the retard who causes fatal collision actually survives because they see it coming and drive defensively to steer the driver side away from impact, the poor cunts that get hit usually barely see it coming so can't react in time
It's because of faggots like you in the future were all gonna have speed locked cars with GPS tracking issuing instant fines

Speeding is a natural part of vehicle ownership and is nothing to be ashamed about. If you lose your license is just means you were utilizing it to the fullest. Happened to me plenty of times
>First time - caught doing 35 in a 30. Forgot to pay ticket, license suspended
>Second time - doing 85 in a 55 construction zone. I was really just trying to get ahead of merging traffic so not even my fault. Still on suspended license so impounded and further suspension
>Third time - got smarter and started using a radar detector. blew past a motorcycle cop on the highway who got me with a lazer (I was in a rush to get to my grandpa's funeral).
All in all, not pushing your vehicle and yourself to the limit just means you don't know your boundaries which makes you dangerous to others on the road.

I think of it this way. Every year I put aside a little money for a "you can drive as fast as you want anytime you want" fund. If you get a fine, you can dip into the fund. Been years since I've had to take money out.
