What the fuck is up with Washington having so many terrible drivers? They're both passive aggressive and incompetent while also being inattentive in situations where they should be. I'm in California and there aren't even a lot of them here, yet they're legitimately like half of the major collisions I respond to. It's like they by default choose the worst most aggressive solution any scenario, almost as if taught that way, yet also don't actually know how to handle a car and have no spatial awareness. They're always also really mad and arrogant after too. Not even people from Oregon or SF are like this. Is it some mixture of meth and autism?

The other day I drove up to a black guy in a W204 Mercedes C-Class at 711 with a really deep LS V8 sounding rumble and thought it was a C63 with some sort of exhaust setup to make it sound more like an American muscle car.

It was just a C250 with aftermarket 4 pipe exhaust and bad timing so the exhaust sounded like a V8 with uneven runners. The chain warped a few days back on a mountain climb and the guy was planning to replace the whole engine with a re manufactured unit and lift it for higher clearance.

The worst drivers are poor, it's because poor people just make bad decisions as a whole. People love to criticize BMW drivers, truck drivers, Altima drivers, etc. across the board, but really it's the person driving an old, shitty BMW or an expensive truck they can't actually afford that drives like an asshole. The middle manager in a Cadillac or the nurse in a Corolla really aren't a problem.

My mother road rages as a passenger. When you ask her to chill it's the whole "I AM NOT ANGRY YOU ARE ANGRY!" and then in less than a minute she says shit like "you should have knocked that guy over". One of the few times I was ever able to shut her up is when I told her I don't feel like getting into a gunfight today in front of one of her friends, though I don't want to get into the habit of having to say that. Usually when I start getting agitated she goes out of her way to absolutely ruin the day by sabotaging the plan and usually I am driving her somewhere for something fairly important for either of us.

She even turns around in her chair to glare at people through the back window or across from me but I generally block the one next to me. Reminds me when of when she used to pull up to people and scream at them over me while I was between her and the other car. I have made a point to try not submit my passengers to any of that.

kek just yesterday I was stuck behind a RAV4 with Washington plates who had their wipers on max 10 minutes after the rain had completely stopped and sat there refusing to make a right on red onto a street with no traffic. (Which is legal here in OR.)

Admittedly this was near an airport and the Toyota was turning in that direction so it could be a rental, a lot of the ones here have WA plates, and the driver could've been from anywhere.

I work at the top of a very steep hill and know you have to gun it to reach the top with even a few inches of snow. There was a college kid not from the area who decided to go extremely slow in the hopes it would help him up the hill, but he got stuck, hence trapping everyone behind him because now he couldn't go forwards or backwards. No winter tires as well of course.

I never understand it. I've only lived in a place with snow for about a year and a half but I figured it out pretty quick. Meanwhile half the people on the road, a lot of whom presumably grew up with snow, absolutely freak out the instant a few flakes start falling, even when it's like 38 degrees and the road is dry as a bone. Admittedly I have way more car control skill and experience, and knowledge of vehicle/tire dynamics, than the average person, but it's still ridiculous.
