it just doesnt look like a corvette anymore
if they kept the c7 style skew and had this as a kind of special run id have no issue, but this just isnt american muscle
a badass car that has no buisness carrying the corvette name
dodge did the same shit with making the charger 4 door

the corvette was never advertised as muscle. it was built to beat european sports cars for a cheaper price and nothing more. it has always been GM's test bed for experimenting with technology that they would eventually use on their other cars.

The C8 is arguably more "corvette" than any corvette before, because it is now mid engine. something its designer wanted from the start and never lived to see.

>being able to wrench on it at home is a bad thing actually
cmon now
again it doesn’t look like a corvette anymore, its AWD instead of RWD and is mid engine (cringe)
its not American, its taking its cues from European cars instead of doing its own thing

The boomers have told me The base model C8s are amazing daily drivers.
Even better than the C6/C7s
Idk about the GS, Z06 or ZR1.

I think your both right. It no longer resembles a Corvette, but they were also Euro inspired to begin with. They just went full retard with it.
>>
>>28914676
>Americans by default can't build mid engine cars
Imagine being this stupid.
>>
>>28914676
only the hybrid is awd (front wheels driven by the electric motor)
>its not American, its taking its cues from European cars instead of doing its own thing
except for being cheap and fast, which the corvette has always done

All my friends are carfags with a whole bunch of awesome shit ranging from classic muscle to euro exotics and neither I nor any of them have experianced something like this. Im sure there are some internet examples but it seems to come up all the time here as a con to owning a nice car and I just dont see it outside of a real shitbag/ hobo containment zone.

> daily GSx
I dont see why not. I summer daily a Stingray and its been great.
There is an argument to be made thay your paying for alot of extra performance that won't really alter the daily experiance beyond one of yhe substantially cheaper trims. But that logic, carried far enough, will have you driving a used Kia.

Have at it.

depends... do you live in a 95%+ white area? if so, buy with confidence and dont worry.
>>
>>28914658
Since when was the corvette a muscle car? It's a sports car
>>
>>28914676
Only the electric motor versions are AWD. The rest is RWD
>>
>>28914700
It's not cheap anymore, not really even affordable. You could argue it's cheaper vs it's competitors, but long gone are the days of a young man buying a Corvette to cruise in
>>
>>28914676
why does this post read like you learned about cars about a month ago and now you're desperately trying to fit in by regurgitating slop you heard on the internet
>>
>>28914650
You can't drive a render, anon.

What's the advantage of making it rear engined when it was already front mid?

Have you considered not living around undesirables?

Your opinion means nothing

You're not.... POOR are you?
>>
>>28915310
Poor? Disgusting! How dare you ask if I'm one of the...POOR people. I hate poor people!
>>
>>28914650
I always worry that the homeless people at intersections would fuck with me in a car that looks expensive, and if they did then there's no way I would let it go.
